There were six satellite trucks parked outside the Indepublicrat's place of employment this morning. Local, regional, and cable news networks were all represented. Campaign workers hoisted signs for John McCain, Ron Paul, and Mitt Romney. The Democrats weren't represented but have been calling the Indepublicrat at home with invitations to their functions.
All are eagerly courting the Indepublicrat's vote.
Not just the Indepublicrat's vote, mind you, but the votes of every voter in the Indepublicrat's home state and the other states holding primaries on Super Duper Tuesday. Tomorrow, campaigns will be won or lost.
In the Indepublicrat's home state, independent voters can vote for a Democrat, a Republican, or a Green-Rainbowian. Democrats and Republicans are apportioning their delegates proportionally on a district-by-district basis, which will probably split the state's total among two or three different candidates. The Indepublicrat approves of the process because, although not as dramatic as a winner-take-all race, it ends up being more fair and better reflects the will of the voters. The Indepublicrat isn't sure how the Green-Rainbowians are apportioning their delegates, as mainstream news sites don't seem to have that information readily avaialble.
So the Indepublicrat has 24 hours left to choose from the current slate of active candidates:
Democrat Hillary Clinton
Democrat Mike Gravel
Republican Mike Huckabee
Republican John McCain
Green-Rainbowian Cynthia McKinney
Green-Rainbowian Kent Mesplay
Green-Rainbowian Ralph Nader
Democrat Barack Obama
Republican Ron Paul
Republican Mitt Romney
Green Rainbowian Kat Swift
The Indepublicrat has narrowed it down to a top three but is open to input from online advisors. The news vans are waiting!
