The Preborn Baby The point of view and opinion of a male on the topic of abortion.by TBD

I am a male and I am not sure how much my opinion should be valued, if at all as I have no children of my own, on the topic of abortion. I was just thinking if abortion is banned what happens when a woman has a miscarriage? How do we prove if it was a natural defect or accident, or if the person was negligent in creating and then destroying a life? Many things can go wrong during a nine month pregnancy. A woman's body changes for the rest of her life. I would hate to see the consequences of someone frightened after having a natural miscarriage, then trying to discard the remains of this unfortunate event in a way that could affect the persons emotional stability for years to come. It's completely possible some women would be too scarred to go to the doctor to be evaluated after such event if possible criminal prosecution is in her future. The woman's health could also be at risk.
Under current law, a woman in late term pregnancy can have an abortion for just about any reason. The method of abortion is what the law focuses on, not the reason or current term of pregnancy. Doctors can, under the federal law, inject drugs to kill the baby before it is removed at any point in the pregnancy up until actual birth. If Roe V. Wade were overturned, each state would be able to make their own laws regarding abortion. Many people will argue the constitution talks about every life having the right to life, but it does not define when life begins. Ron Paul would like to make a change so that we define life as starting at conception. At that point, any abortion would be considered a type of murder, and then would be handled on a local level. I do not know how I feel about this issue. I am not sure anyone can truly answer the conception question. I am a huge supporter of Dr. Paul, but this is not an issue that can be defined over night, and in reality not the biggest problem we face today.
So far the prosecution of a murder charge has been a state issue. That is why different states have different laws regarding the death penalty. If the murder case somehow involves more than one state, then it becomes a federal issue, although one should argue the states involved could arbitrate between one and each other for prosecution of the case. If each state were to make its own laws regarding abortion procedures, testing of different methods across the country relating to preventing abortion, would help society figure out the best way to operate. By setting an example in their state they could lead other states to adapt. Most likely what would happen is people would move to places that most agree with their point of view. If someone living in the area where abortions are illegal, and still willing to use that type of service, would simply travel to a state where legal abortion or medication at early stages would be prescribed. Those states would most likely have a ban on third and late term abortions, and have pretty strict rules regarding second term abortions, but leave enough choices available for the operation to take place in the market safely with doctors rather than black market or with home made remedies. Studies say most abortions take place during the first stage of pregnancy and decline dramatically after that.
Technology may also play a part in the future of the necessity of abortion. Removal of the fetus to a transplant test tube or another mother may be an option. Increased effort of adoption, education about finances regarding the decision to have a child, new technology in prevention, and using incentives not to have children before capable of raising it properly or at too young of age are key messages to teach people how to raise a family responsibly. I would like to emphasize I do not mean what type of content you teach your child, only that they be raised safely. Parents are only the keepers, not the decider's, for their children. I would hate to see the alternatives people would turn to if an all out ban on abortion was put into place.
I would also like to state something relating abortion to the economy. We need as many people who are capable of raising a child properly to have as many children as they can afford. In this global marketplace we now compete with countries like China and India who each have a population of over one billion people, and with a world total of over six billion. Our current population in the United States can be calculated between 300-400 million people. Our only solution to a declining economy is to have a thriving marketplace and to stabilize the economy with a solid currency. We need to open immigration at our boarders, remove the vast amount of regulation on every commercial industry, have a massive population increase, re-enter the manufacturing industrial field, or have smart children who can innovate more creatively than any other country in the world. We need children who are creative, who have critical thinking skills, and are excited about what they learn. We cannot accomplish those goals by mandating every child in society go to a public school and learn the same government prescribed information. Home schooling, private schooling, Internet schooling, local community schooling, and any other small scale focused learning center's as an alternative would provide a new era of specialized learning and creativity. The methods used in public schools are outdated, the material information is wrong and outdated, and usually students are taught facts to pass the standardized tests so the schools look good. The children are our future, so we must teach them how to think for themselves, so they can someday create the things we dream of.

Yes the US needs to remain number one our founding fathers were very keen on this issue. Please.
It is easy for a man to have his oppinions on abortion. We never would need one, unless our night of irresponsibility made it necessary for us to pay for such a child. Immigration has and will solve our labor shortages. Abortion need be between a woman and her doctor. Not losers who want to tell other people how to live. Abortion is a Personal Freedom, just because you don't like it is no reason to outlaw it.
1MM U.S. abortions were done by RU486 in 2007. Ironically, abortion is alive and well.
As to the US competing w/ China via education and cheaper labor, I don't think it's possible.
I know execs who've outsourced plants to China. Even when great mfg processes are invented here, we ship the machines to China to produce products.
The wages in those plants avg. 60 to 80 cents/hr., 60hr work weeks, straight time, and no holidays. The workers live in the plants for years, not returning home because it's unaffordable and they don't want to lose their jobs.
Plants there often have open sewers, and people poop thru holes in the plant floors. Factories don't buy lift trucks because it's cheaper to get 10 guys and throw a rope around a skid and drag the material to a state-of-art machine that used to be here. FYI China doesn't allow equipment older than 5 years to be shipped to their plants, so the old stuff stays here, if it's still to be used.
If a worker gets hurt, the medical plan is to tell that unfortunate, "Go home." Another is hired to take the person's place. For assembly jobs it's always a 'her' between 16 & 28 yrs old for accuracy and hardest continuous detail focused working ability. Seen photos of the shops China allows to be photographed? When's the last time you saw males working in one?
Abortion as birth control should be illegal. For the same reasons murder is illegal. It's about responsibility. I was once faced with that choice. As I am a man, I was unable to excercize that choice. My child died.
I have known approximately 5 people whom I know to have an abortion. One was pressured to it, two were under 18 and their parents chose for them. Once said she still has difficulty looking children in the eye and one believes she had to end the pregnancy because she was able to sense that the child was going to be born hideously disfigured.
You see, men are affected by this. Good, responsible men. We have a moral outrage over this practice. My sons were born two months premature and survived. Life does not only begin after 9 months gestation. There are so many reasons why this is an outrageous act. There are very few why it is not. Do I understand the circumstances where it should be allowed? Yes, I do, and they are vastly outnumbered by the times where it is not a life or death issue.
I'm sorry, this cannot be an emotionless, logical topic for me. I just can't muster the coherence to argue it well. All I can say is that the Nazis killed only 6 million of those that they did not consider human. Abortionists have killed over 40 million. And this is a right that is celebrated. That's disgusting.
Oh, and for anyone too ignorant to tell the difference. A miscarriage is not an abortion. Hide the evidence, indeed. It makes me wonder why women are arrested for leaving their newborns in dumpsters. If they just went to the doctor a few hours earlier it would have been perfectly fine and legal.
Abortion should be illegal except in the case where the womans life is in danger, that is self defense to do that, I thought that no longer were there any really reasonable complications that would threaten the life of the mother anymore but incase there is then that needs to be left on the table as a use.
It is not just a case between a woman and her doctor, a father has just as much right to their child as the mother does. RIght now if you kill a pregnant woman you are charged with 2 counts of murder. and shouldnt they be of course.
One thing that alot of people need to think about i think is that how much someone is wanted, does not determine the value of their life. Just because a fetus is unwanted doesnt mean that its life isnt valueable.
Life is the only right that trumps all other rights. Because with out life liberty, property, defense, mean nothing.
