Ron Paul Attacks Root Causes of Problems!

The party favorites and media darlings deal with feel-good surface issues while only one dares to speak to us about the real causes and solutions!

As an Air Force Manpower Management Engineer we were always taught to look for the root cause of any problem. It is often far too easy to see a surface issue and attempt to resolve it and then to see another surface issue and attempt to resolve it while the driver behind all the surface issues goes unidentified and uncorrected. This creates an extreme waste of time, effort, and resources without solving what ever the real problem is in a given situation. Many reading this will be shaking their heads in agreement as it appears so very basic. This principle is foundational in effective problem-solving.

For some reason when we begin to address problems facing us today in our lives and in our government, however, we tend to forget this basic problem-solving approach. Politicians stump for feel good legislation which is suppose to create a cure to a challenge. Perhaps the answer will be in utilizing the tax-code to properly provide incentives in certain areas or for certain groups. Maybe we need to have the Fed (Federal Reserve Bank) adjust the interest rate down in order to boost spending or raise the interest rate in an effort to slow inflation. If the proper programs for helping children, the poor, working moms, married couples, or others were created or expanded then the challenges these groups face could be tackled through improved entitlements. If, if we only would allow our national government to manage things our lives would not have to be as complex and we would not have the concerns and challenges we all struggle with. There are incentives, adjustments, and entitlements aplenty to cure our daily woes. Candidates professing change tell us they understand and want to help. Sound familiar?

The next time you tune into the debates or listen to an interview or follow a political discussion among the Presidential Candidates this year keep an ear out for the surface issue solutions being proposed. By recognizing some of the key language used in their answers and obfuscation regarding issues impacting our lives it will be easier to figure out who is really tackling the root causes and who is failing to accept them or address them whether through ignorance or purpose. Then listen, truly listen for any who dare to address the root causes, for it is a brave soul who will dig deep enough to find them and then point them out to us as they are often most challenging, not popular to the ear, and hardest to actually cure.

In my research through the many candidate websites, political forums, and observations of all things politics this election cycle I have found very few willing to discuss root. This is a year when even the major party candidates daring to speak to the root of the challenges are being treated as if they are second-tier or lower class candidates and most are now out of the race for the White House, such a shame. I've not found any of our major front runners or media darlings willing to be so bold and so brave as to address the root causes, not a one unless you count Mike Huckabee as a top-tier and then only in regards to one major root problem, the 16th Amendment and the IRS. Support his stance or not, at least he dares to address it.

So, what are some of the root causes, you may ask? Fist and foremost is the private banking control of the United States monetary system, the Federal Reserve Bank. In 1802 Jefferson gave rise to this root problem with his statement, ""I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." The Federal Reserve Bank proves Jefferson right and who is daring to point this out clearly even when others attempt to deny it and call him a radical? I've only found one major party candidate so far, Ron Paul.

Second, yet no less destructive to our liberty and freedom, is the IRS. How many of you reading this just looked around to see if they' saw you reading this? There is a greater fear surrounding an IRS audit than anything else among the average people who supposedly control this government. Again, Jefferson knew this would occur. "A wise and good government shall not take from the mouths of labor the bread it has earned."

Yet, listen...really listen to the candidates who want to fix our problems and lead our nation for the next four to eight years. Are they addressing this draconian, root problem? Are they admitting to you, the people, there is no law which provides the IRS or the Federal Government the right to tax your wages and income? Are there any willing to admit our government is not being wise or good with regards to income taxes. Or, instead, are you hearing them discuss things like a flat income tax, using the tax code to create incentives for altering our lifestyles, or raising taxes for feel good, surface issues while allowing the root problem of the IRS to fester on in its destructive nature since it is what the government uses to withdraw your income to toss at the international bankers of the Federal Reserve Bank in paying interest on the money they lend' us to pay for the government? I've only found one major party candidate so far who dares to radically proclaim we need to end the IRS and slash spending so it's possible, Ron Paul.

There is the challenge of our foreign policy and the extreme burden it places on our daily lives while keeping our brave men and women in uniform constantly in harms way as their families are left at home to worry, or worse, to mourn. The expansive reach of our military now is in more countries around the globe than any other, this is empire. We practice an interventionist method of dealing with any who our leaders can convince us are a threat to our national security. All of this while our borders and ports are being breached constantly. Only one candidate dares to discuss the need to return to an extremely strong self-defense, secured borders, and a true non-interventionist foreign policy where we interact with the world without threatening the world. He speaks of being strong in face of any enemy, never backing away from any conflict that requires a declared war to defeat yet war is waged on the side of defense rather than offense. Force is used for security against terror rather than creating terror in far away lands which do not pose a threat. The only one talking about this, truly wanting the nation to debate and understand the impacts of good and bad foreign policy is Ron Paul.

If you know of another candidate willing to risk it all in clearly addressing these root causes of our loss of liberty and freedom please let me know as I want anyone brave enough to address them to be recognized. Anyone who truly wants to live in a free and civil society must only cast votes for candidates willing to address root causes to the problems. This is true of the person we vote for President, our representatives, our governors, mayors, and city board members. Listen closely, do not let their obfuscation cause you to emotionally stray, listen then vote bravely for liberty and freedom. We cannot fix anything without fixing the root causes; this principle is foundational in effective problem-solving. Help be a part of the solution, cast an educated vote based on liberty, not a feel good vote based on false promises sounding good to the ear.

It's just as Toyota's Lean Manufacturing principles teach: If you see a spill of liquid on the floor, don't just wipe it up and figure that's-that. Look for the source. And Toyota's principles are used throughout many industries today. Ron Paul will "lean" up the government, and stop the mess.

The American people have been mislead and lied to so much and for so long, that many times they do not even know the truth when they hear it. Worse still, they tend to fear change, particularly the type of changes required resolve serious problems. As repainting a car does not fix mechanical problems, so too simply modifying the look and feel of government policies, programs and agencies accomplishes nothing. How many times have we been told that some action is a solution to an issue, only to be informed some time later that the issue is back, and usually worse than before?

However, I still have faith that the American people can rise to the challenge and face problems with courage and fortitude. I just hope that we address the “root causes” sooner rather than later. As with so many things, the longer problems are left to fester the more painful and deadly they become, and the more unpalatable the cure. The situation calls for wisdom, and the leading candidates are giving us placebos.

Wake up America. The people behind the curtain are deceiving you. They are not great and powerful. What they do and what they propose usually only serves their will to power.

I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY WITH THE ARTICLE, BUT, UNFORTUNATELY, THERE ARE TOO MANY STUPID PEOPLE WHO CAN VOTE, AND WILL VOTE FOR THE SAME KIND OF SO-CALLED LEADERS. I FEAR IT WILL GET UGLY AT SOME POINT IN THE NOT-TO-DISTANT FUTURE......A TRUE REVOLUTION WILL HAVE TO HAPPEN IF OUR ONCE GREAT COUNTRY IS TO SURVIVE. OTHERWISE, I THINK WE ARE LOOKING AT ANOTHER 3RD WORLD COUNTRY...OURS. HAVE THE COURAGE TO VOTE FOR REAL CHANGE...RON PAUL.

Using the great depression of 1929 as an example, it is doubtful that a financial collapse will wake up America.  Using the 1929 example, it appears that the banker engineered disruption in money supply was in fact used to consolidate power.   People were even willing to allow their gold to be confiscated under some nationalistic ideas.   My guess is this time around, we will see that a collapse brings an EU style government with our neighbors Mexico and Canada.  This is already underway as well as the printing of a new currency, the Amero.   I wish I could say I expect Americans to wake up in sufficient numbers to move the vote in the right direction, my fingers and toes are crossed!   Refer to the site www (dot) perfecteconomy (dot) com for a detalied description of the trouble we are in.   Go Ron Go 2008!
