Ron Paul Supporters Need To Prepare For The Next Election. by Robert T

As any Ron Paul supporter, nothing baffles more than when John McCain keeps beating him. He's not a conservative. He believes in using the government to redistrubute wealth. He does not support freedom of speech with campaign finance reform. He's for continuing a foreign policy we can't afford.
It's my belief that McCain will fracture the GOP. It's uncertain as to where the non-McCain supporters would go or how that will work. But I'd like to believe that Ron Paul fit's in there.
Also, the Ron Paul team wants to get 180,000 pricinct leaders throughout the country. Or one leader for every pricinct in the country. In an email they sent out, a pricinct leader in Broward county (FL) said that in the areas she canvased Ron Paul finished 2nd to John McCain. Right now Paul has about 15,000 pricinct leaders. This is what the media refers to as a "strong ground" campaign. It's my hope that by 2012, Ron Paul can amass those kinds of numbers. By then he'll have the ground war to get his message out, without the media. With those kind of foot soldiers, funding and his message he'd be tough to beat.
We can't give up on liberty after just one election. Let's keep working to build for the future and return our country back to what the founding fathers wanted. A strong United States of America that is ran by the people, not the government.

Good points. I'd just add stay focused on your local, State, and Federal elections for your representatives in 2008 and don't forget 2010 on the road to 2012. At the Federal level there are 469 seats up for reelection this year and another 468 in 2010 and 2012. We can begin to send like minded representatives and by 2012 we can recapture the White House while taking back Congress as well. Thanks for the reminders!
I heard Dr. Paul grows organic tomato, I am hoping he is on raw food diet to keep up his health, 76 is no age to retire if human body is designed to live 150 years. 2012 is a realistic goal for a Paul candidacy and having 180,000 precinct leaders would be excellent.
Also, I feel some sort of compromise need to be made with welfare supporting black voting block and immigrant supporting hispanic voting block. Private self help charities could be helped with federal matching fund, instead of unconditional federal grants and entitlement.
Bottom line is special interests whether they are corporations, unions, undocumented workers or welfare receivers should not be allowed to get undue benefits at the expense of the whole country. Sometimes a few of these blocks gang up and want to take advantage, this should be exposed.
If we don't get Ron Paul types in the legislative branches and in local governments, it'll be too late. By 2012 we'll be in "WW4" with a draft. The economy will be done and chaos will be everywhere.
