Is Super Tuesday the REAL Groundhog Day?

Never mind the groundhog - will American voters hide from reality and leave the US perpetually mired in an economic winter?

 Groundhog Day - February 2nd

Traditionally,  Groundhog Day - photo courtesy of Wikipedia"Groundhog Day" is the day when the groundhog emerges from its hole in the ground, sniffs the air, and decides (based on whether or not it sees its shadow) if it will go back to sleep for six more weeks of winter.

Although it falls on February 5th rather than the more traditional February 2nd date, I think "Super Tuesday" is actually "Groundhog Day" for voters. The question for all of us "groundhogs" this year is whether we're so "scared of our shadow" that we'll choose a president who will continue the failed economic policies that have devastated our economy, or whether we will  embrace a candidate who offers a new way to genuine economic salvation.

Most candidates, Democrat and Republican alike, promise "change" but are all about "more of the same" - more spending, more programs, more bureaucracy. Yes, they promise you the world but what you'll really get is higher taxes and more, bigger government.

For just a moment, imagine that YOU are the groundhog, sniffing the air, sticking out your head, and finally emerging from the "burrow" of your very busy life. You look around. Damn! This winter looks mighty cold! The dollar is plummeting, fuel prices are up, and you can barely make ends meet as it is! What's a poor groundhog to do?

There is one presidential candidate that is not afraid to address these issues. He is an expert in monetary policy. He knows why our economy is tanking, why the stock market is crashing, why we are headed for a recession. He's not afraid to go toe-to-toe with Ben Bernanke, chairman of the Federal Reserve. In his twenty years of public service, he has never voted for a tax increase - NEVER!

I am, of course, speaking about Dr. Ron Paul. For the next ten minutes, will you set aside the mass-media brainwashing you've been subjected to? You know, the nonsense that has tried to make you think that Ron Paul could never win? Just read a little bit about Dr. Paul here on his website. Then do your own research on Ron Paul and his economic platform where ever you like. Then on Super Tuesday, do the right thing!

I'm confident that with just a little exposure to the light, even a groundhog can see who's the real statesman in this election!
