On My Ron Paul Post-rEVOLution Revolution "Modest Proposal" Articles
Go ahead, take me seriously. by M Cal

The comments on the first of my "Modest Proposal" articles generated a little bit of buzz (http://www.nolanchart.com/article1599.html). Was it because had I simply ended the article "and this is why we must get the message out there like we have been by continuing to raise money than any other 'front-runner' GOP candidate on our own accord (that is, without the Ron Paul campaign asking us for it), because we believe in Dr. Paul and his message of peace, liberty, and economic stability, and see in him the hope that we can free ourselves of the vice-like grip of the soft-fascism our republic has degenerated into, and the possibility of a future where our rights will be protected from abuses by our own government, and big business," it would have been just another article about Ron Paul written by one of his supporters that raised no questions and made no one consider the depth of what could really be happening right now?
I mean, should we really take the constitutional message embodied in the second amendment as a mere anachronism, impossible to allow in an age with circustances that the founding fathers could have never imagined in their wildest dreams? Should we deny the revolutionary spirit upon which this country, and indeed this modern world was founded? Martin Luther King Jr. did well to note that the revolutionary spirit had all but died in this country, and that in other parts of the world people were taking to the streets to fight for something they believed in. He was assassinated for his revolution, which was really a rEVOLution. What would Ron Paul's supporters do if he were assassinated? Would you start taking the second amendment seriously then?
That's a question. To answer with another question: How bad are things now, and how bad will they be in four years?" That's for time to tell and you to decide. But to even entertain the possibility of an armed revolution to protect the values of the constitution, the values we have been reawakened to by Dr. Ron Paul, seems absolutely crazy, and as some have noted, impossible.
My only intent in writing the articles was to show that Ron Paul has legitimately started something that cannot and should not be overlooked either now, or in hindsight, no matter what the outcome of the GOP race, or the presidential race. It was intended to show that we cannot go down without a fight, lest we face the possibility of the "soft-fascism" Dr. Paul claims we live in becoming "hard" over the next four or eight years, and the Constitution becoming a "quaint" historical document. Ron Paul has awakened the political consciousness of us all, and we cannot let this go to waste. As the mainstream media has shown us, the rEVOLution will not be televised! We must take it to the streets, now, and until November, peacefully, and we must get Ron Paul elected.
