What the GOP needs to do to get a win this year. It may be easy enough if you only listen to what people really want from them. by John Rutledge

This year's race for the Republican Nomination is perhaps useless. People yearn for Change at any cost. This is why the Democrats have such high hopes in 08.
How can the Republican Party snatch a win in 2008? Simple. Take Ron Paul as your Vice President! With the hordes of support that Ron Paul gets online, the democrats would not be able to counter. In fact, there would probably be some raids on the democratic websites. Why? People like Ron Paul, but they give him no chance because the media and talk show hosts say he has no chance. People want a "winner", it seems.
Those people who think Ron Paul has no chance would think differently if he ran as Vice President. A McCain-Paul ticket would probably be a nice success, even if they arent exactly in agreement on half (or more) of the issues. Sure it would be like the Odd Couple, but it is better than Obama-Hilary. With McCain and Paul, there are some similarities in spending, but differ in international relations.
Just something to think about, AKA I dont see this happening, for Ron Paul would never accept that. Ron Paul would only accept Vice President from someone else who votes based on the consitutuion.(Nobody besides Paul) Having Ron Paul running as your VP would give your campaign some pretty nice support.
However, for now, all I can do is hope for the best for my main man Ron Paul.

McCain-Paul?
Oh, dear Lord, have mercy upon this poor sinner, for verily, the hordes of the Libertarian party are about to tear this person asunder.
At least it's very, very original.
I'd like to believe that Paul is a little smarter than that. If he indeed took that job (and I doubt McCain would ever swallow his pride to do such a thing) I don't see how the two would ever see eye to eye on everything from immigration to economics. Then again, McCain is a "leader" in everything except the realm of economics. He'll need more people to surround himself with, the tireless mantra of Kemp and the like comes to mind. There is still time left for Paul, don't count the man out just yet.
