Ron Paul Snubbed, John McCain Endorsed (Satire) Early in the race for the Republican nomination it was thought for sure Ron Paul would receive this endorsement, instead it has gone to Senator John McCain.by Gary Wood

In a sudden development John McCain was able to secure yet another endorsement. We all have seen how much Senator McCain enjoys collecting endorsements and using them as trump cards on key issues. This latest card he's received will allow him to trump many an argument by simply pulling it out and saying, "I'm proud of my record, they're obviously proud of my record (pointing to the trump card), that's the way it is and that's just a little straight-talk."
Congressman Ron Paul, celebrating his 51st wedding anniversary today, did not seem particularly remorse over losing the endorsement. Despite early odds makers saying he would no doubt get the nod by this group a long campaign showed it was not to be. The longer Dr. Paul stayed on the campaign trail the clearer it became; his message is simply more powerful than initially thought and if he were to win the Republican nomination for President it would be unlikely the group today endorsing John McCain could win.
According to a statement released, "We have changed positions on who we will endorse for President. Nothing against Dr. Paul but John McCain is ready to become a liberal from day one. We don't believe that will be necessary as we are confident our nominee will win the White House this year with John McCain leading the Republican ticket, but just in case he wins its nice to know he'll be ready to join us on all domestic issues. If we would have formally endorsed Ron Paul and if he would have gone on to win the Republican nomination we would have to face tough debates on liberty vs. socialized programs and we simply weren't prepared for that debate. His message is proving too popular and is awakening a portion of this country that frankly doesn't need awakening. It's like the Japanese waking up the United States on that day of infamy. We would like to see Dr. Paul's message fade as it is not in keeping with the heart of the Democratic Party's platform. We know exactly what to expect in the debates from John, we've studied his short playbook, we anticipate we will allow him to perform as he has recently in the debates. Ron Paul in a two man/woman debate is not a force we care to deal with as it would be nearly impossible to avoid him the entire time. John McCain poses no threat to our base and we respect his strong liberal views. We look forward to competing and defeating him during the general elections this year. After the campaign we hope he will continue to support our domestic agenda."
Who can blame the Democratic Party for wanting to endorse McCain over Paul? Ron Paul represents liberty and freedom with tough positions on immigration, taxation, monetary policies, and more. About the only thing the Democrats and Ron Paul agree on is ending the war against Iraq yet even the Democrats are not ready to fully embrace non-interventionism. For those reading this far the above represents nothing more than a political opinion, the endorsement is not real and the quotes are fictitious. However, the reality is clear, John McCain poses little threat to a Democratic victory come November while Ron Paul would be difficult to stop once he was allowed to actually articulate his message in the mass media.

I don't know about the Democratic Party but some of their left-liberal supporters from the Daily KOS and Move-on have been actively undermining Ron Paul. They have been infliltrating and even taking positions of leadership in Meetup groups. From there the derail canvassing efforts by sponsoring fun and USELESS activities that lure good Paul supporters away from adult politics and into the fanatical public spectacles that cause us so much damage. They also schedule 'movie nights' to watch the ridiculous crap Alex Jones makes his living on. These are direct attacks on the Ron Paul grass roots effectiveness. The infiltrators know our weakness and they are using it to their advantage.
But Why? THEY ARE AFRAID OF RON PAUL!
Of course the Dems want the GOP to put McCain on the post. They will win the White House in a landslide. Only the faithful "lesser-of-two-evils" Republican voters will support McCain. I know I sure wouldn't. I'll write in Ron Paul if he is on the top of the Ballot.
The best thing Paul supporters can do is to NOT jump ship based on the GOP nomination process. Ron Paul is the best candidate for the job and we know it. The Republican Party is the only vehicle powerful enough to make a run for the Presidency worth the effort.
In order for our movement to continue its momentum we need to stick behind Ron Paul as the best GOP candidate regardless of what the nominating convention determines in September.
Splitting our grass roots movement into factions based on the outcome of a rigged nomination process is the worst thing we can do. I know some who really don't understand parties or politics will abandon the GOP if Paul isn't nominated but they weren't really on board to begin with. They thought they were on American Idol. The rest of us need to stick together and write in Dr. Paul as a Republican President come November. I still have high hopes that the party will rally around him in the 11th hour just like they did with Reagan.
At this point in the election cycle, Ronald Reagan wasn't taken seriously. He was that 'California Actor' that many people couldn't take seriously. The long run through the primaries gave Reagan's message wings. The same can happen for Ron Paul. By April, the GOP may have abandoned McCain because leading conservatives are announcing already that they would rather vote for Hillary than McCain. He is a loser in every way and it will show through.
Mr. Gary Wood,
Satire? Spoof? You decide.
Why not spend time writing an article which refelects Ron Paul vs. Obama to help win over the obama folks I have found them very easy to turn onto Paul's message.
Jahfre Fire Eater you are right on point. The supporters of Ron Paul must stick with the focus on taking back the GOP rather than abandoning it. We need to write-in Ron Paul in November if he does not get the nomination. We need to elect local, State, and Federal candidates that share the Constitutional agenda and we need to continue the efforts through 2008, 2010, and into 2012. After 4 years of either Clinton or Obama, four years of strengthening the core of the revolution movement, and four years of seeding local, State, and Federal representatives who share in the ideals of Ron Paul's campaign we can achieve victory on many levels. It is truly a long haul movement. Many will attempt to splinter it, we must hold a core together. As long as the two-party system is allowed to usurp this much power it is better to take control of the GOP than attempt to become another third-party or Independent movement. Good points you've brought up.
Darel, yeah this was just a bit of fun with a clear message to those thinking McCain is truly representative of core Republican beliefs. He is part of the movement to the left that is taking over the GOP and sometimes a bit of satire or a spoof is a way to reach people without long essays of appeal. Time will be spent writing many angles and the one you mention is a good one. Why not write it and put it out there?
The 2004 Election came down to a basic 50/50 popular vote. If the Democratic Party in the four years from 2000 could have had just a slightly, and I wouldn't take much, better candidate than Al Gore then in my mind without a doubt we would have a Democratic president. Now, every recent opinion poll seems to demonstrate that 70% of Americans are ,at the least, unhappy with the way Iraq is being handled. If the Democrats are gaining in popularity and the Republicans are exponentially losing popularity then has not the 2008 Elections been decided?
Fourth quarter campaign finance numbers are available today (Feb. 1).
CNN has been reporting on candidate fundraising and spending totals in its "Election Center 2008" portion of its website.
CNN also has a political stock market game which asks people to invest virtual play money to make predictions on the outcome of various political questions.
I think they should ask their market this question: "How long will we take to update our presidential campaign finance information to include totals from the fourth quarter."
Probably because that was how you interpreted the words written. I said they wanted to end the war in Iraq yet not embrace non-intervention. Their policies still support a war philosophy. The desire to end the war in Iraq is simply popular or I don't think Hillary would be discussing. I think Obama really is sincere in it but who knows. So if in those simple words you see it as propogation of a myth that is something I cannot control. I can encourage you to share an article regarding the myth to get your views out there.
This article is RIGHT ON. The Democratic media, hidden powers, and the Democratic Party all want to see McCain win. He is an easy target to make him look like a complete idiot to Hillary or Obama. Ron Paul is the only candidate that has the intelligence to rip any of the Democratic candidates a new rear end and send them home wimpering. Ron Paul can talk about the issues in detail. The others can only say they have ideas to change America, but don't give any details on how. And of course, McCain can only sit there and babble about endorsements and smile like they all love him. It is a complete setup for a Republican loss an most of the U.S. voters don't see it!
