Reagan Library 1/30 Republican Presidential Debate by Thomas Paine

Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate who will admit that we are in a recession. For Americans who are losing their homes and their jobs, it is CRUCIAL that their economic circumstances are acknowledged. Ron Paul said what most Americans are now feeling, "The standard of living is going DOWN" "The Middle-Class are HURTING" because of the destruction of the dollar, "Poor countries don't even have a middle class...we used to have one, it's on the ropes right now" "The people in this country have been begging for change and they haven't had it, and its time we gave it to them." Also Ron brought up how property rights are the best way to fight global warming (though he was not allowed the get in-depth on the issue).
Ron Paul keeps telling the rest of the field and the American people that the Republican's failed to live up to their rhetoric in 1994 and Bush has gone 180 degrees from his previous foreign policy, Throughout the years Ron Paul has been consistent, this is important to voters. Ron Paul has a great way of stating the simple truth. "(our monetary system and foreign policy that is) COMING TO AN END" Ron Paul makes very bold statements with the utmost integrity and honesty. Other candidates like John McCain resort to cheap shot lies about history and blatant distortion of the facts. Ron Paul said that the Republicans were elected in 1952 to end the war in Korea, then McCain later stated, "By the way, President Eisenhower didn't bail us out of Korea." the website The Fact Beat picked up on this and said, "Fact: Eisenhower actually campaigned against U.S. involvement in Korea during his 1952 presidential run. Furthermore, Eisenhower did end the Korean War by negotiating an armistice with the UN, China, and North Korea six months after having taken office." Ron Paul DOES NOT overstate the facts, and the other candidates know this, that is why they refuse to challenge him fairly regarding any of his positions. Sadly many Americans will believe the "Straight Talk Express" John 100 years-of-Iraqi-occuption McCain, because there are under the influence of a powerful media driven type of mind control.
One of the best parts of the whole debate was Anderson Cooper putting his foot in his mouth, repeatedly promising Ron Paul that he will be given a opportunity to answer the question about Liberal Vs. Conservative. Mr. Cooper trips over himself as he guarantees Ron Paul WILL BE ASKED in 2 mins...urggh..um,...2 questions in the future. But why o why not now Mr Anderson? Could it be that you are under strict orders to "ice" Dr. Paul? Yes, Mr. Anderson, I'm sure that you will be rewarded like the lap dog you are. Cooper should have just let Ron Paul answer the question, he jumped the gun and discredited himself and the network in the process. MANY Americans understood this ridiculous ploy to stop Ron Paul from speaking, and they do NOT like it one bit! This debate was a fumble on the part of the establishment. Go back and take a look at the clip, the other candidates can't stop grinning while Cooper deflects Ron Paul from answering the question. Some blow back has already seen from this in the Frank Luntz focus group, where a woman adamantly defended Ron Paul saying she felt Ron had been marginalized and hoped to hear more from him. A lot of Americans are tired of BIG Government and an endless war. Conservatives are not being addressed by the Republican Party.
Ron Paul calls the debate about Iraq amongst Romney and McCain "Rather Silly" brushing them aside with his hand and saying "We should be debating Foreign Policy, whether we should have Interventionism or Non -Interventionism." and he concluded by asking, "How many men are you willing to let die for this?" These powerful words are resounding throughout America; the truth is being understood.
Ron Paul statement about Reagan's and the Gold Standard was powerful, it dissolved a lot of the "fringe" image of the Gold Standard that some call a CRAZY throwback idea. Not one of the other Candidates can attack Ron Paul's honesty and claim that Reagan did not tell Ron Paul that "no great nation that got off the gold standard ever remained great".
This debate was an amazing display of Dr. Paul's courageous and courteous crusade for Freedom, Prosperity and Peace.

The Republican party says it's for lower taxes. It isn't. It passed the largest federal budget in history, and even after it controlled the White House and both houses of Congress, it failed to make a dent in the federal tax burden.
The Republican party says it's for limited government. It isn't. Not only has it failed to reduce the already ridiculous size and power of government, it has drastically increased it.
The Republic party says it's for individual liberties. It isn't. It created the biggest federal bureaucracy in history, and gave it all sorts of new powers to spy on, detain, silence, and otherwise harass Americans.
The Republican party says it believes in the Constitution. It doesn't. It has done absolutely nothing to try to correct the mangling of the "commerce clause" to allow the federal government to stick its nose in everyone's business.
And when someone came along who really IS for lower taxes, limited government, individual liberty, and a return to the Constitution, how did the Republican establishment respond? By smearing, demonizing, demeaning, marginalizing, and insulting him, and trying to silence him. Even though that man is a Republican.
My question is, just how stupid are Republican voters? Just how badly and how often do you need to be betrayed by the totalitarians in the GOP (masquerading as "limited government" advocates) before you stop SUPPORTING their collectivist crap?
"But the Democrats are even worse!"
No, they aren't. They are IDENTICAL. The only difference is in their rhetoric: the Republicans pander to those who want limited government, and the Democrats pander to those who want the nanny state to control and take care of everything. But in action, the two are THE SAME. They are two faces of ONE group of power-happy, war-mongering, fear-mongering, liberty-destroying nationalist/socialists. The suggestion that THOSE are your only choices is a classic tyrant trick. Unfortunately, almost all Americans still fall for it.
Personally, I don't believe in "limited government" any more than I believe in "limited murder," "limited rape," or "limited armed robbery." But for those "limited statists" out there who still believe in the Constitution, stop supporting its demise! If you must vote, and Ron Paul loses the Republican primary--which the Republican establishment is going to great lengths to ensure--vote for him anyway. I don't care whether he runs or not. Write in his name. If instead you hold your nose and vote for the establishment- appointed collectivist, YOU are the problem.
Yes, I am telling you to intentionally destroy the Republican party, because it is an absolute fraud. Of course, the Democratic power machine is equally fraudulent and evil, but by supporting either of them--instead of telling them BOTH to go to hell--you are ENABLING your own enslavement. Quit bickering over which crook is worse, and just STOP SUPPORTING CROOKS. "But then the OTHER guy will win!" So what? I would wager that NO ONE could tell, based only on the legislation passed during the Clinton administration as compared to that passed during the Bush administration, who was on the "left" and who was on the "right." The result is always the same: more power for them, less freedom for you. By supporting EITHER party, you prolong the lie, and assist in your own subjugation.
There is only one person running for President who actually believes in the Constitution, and look how hard his "own" party is trying to silence him. And look who they have running AGAINST him: several left-leaning, tax-and-spend socialists (Huckabee, Romney, McCain and Giuliani). Every one of them is far left of JFK! Is that really what "conseravtives" want? Who exactly is the Republican party "representing"?
Anyone with their eyes open can see that the Republican establishment doesn't CARE what Republican VOTERS want. They are still trying to milk the reputation of Ronald Reagan, while viciously slandering anyone who sounds anything like him. They are just as elitist as the Democrats, having nothing but contempt for your freedom and what YOU want. When thousands of you said "We want Ron Paul!" what did the Republican establishment say? "To hell with you!" Well, it's high time to return the compliment. Maybe the best thing to come out of a Ron Paul presidential run will be a long overdue unmasking and discrediting of the totalitarian elitists club calling itself the Republican party.
Just a simple point or reminder. Sadam claimed that we were begining the mother of all battle's. What most americans fail to realize is it was the length of the battle. They are laughing at you. Just as russia's economy went, so will goe our economy. The financial wizards reap, the peasents weap. Sire the peasents are revolting. They certainly are!
Fact is, unbelievably, ALL countries are NOW totally owned by European elite centuries-old-bloodline bankers ~ socialists, who possess ALL of the world's gold & silver. In fact, they likely finally achieved this multi-epochal goal a decade or two ago now, leasing it back to us while it sits stagnating, out of circulation; us here too, in as-well-bankrupt Red Canada. ALL of it, & they are NOT going to give it up, EVER! Nor are their heirs. You have furthermore been, INTER-NATIONALIZED! It is over! It has gone on far too long, & these bankers want us now to find out how much rope they gave our "leaders" to hang us all with. They are now saying they will no longer lend, as it is getting too risky, and we are no longer net-productive. Revolt looms; & we are as if on strike, so why should they? Hence, Butsh visits Israel in Jan. '08 to try to smooth over the "loan application" the Fed's European elite, centuries-old, bloodline bosses are now balking at. The s***-fan is spraying all the inflatulatory stink back at us now. Wake up, mushrooms; read a bit of economic theory, U dumb Goyim. Google "the "Illuminati Protocols' if you wish to know how virtually ALL of our criminal leaders have sold us down the river to support their lazy, envious, anti-viva maleofactorial lifestyles. That document is over 230 years old, and we are clearly the suckers. Who will pay this all back? Our great grand babies? Much is revealed in the reading, and you are in for some bug-eyed hours, days, weeks, & years ahead, as is your progeny. I will be with you, demanding "Open Ended Justice," but don't make me wait. The time for sheeple behaviour is long behind us, our wool is sheared, & we all stand denuded. Amazingly, we will now have to beg for our lives with these bankers, because of these infinite-headed tapeworms we have entrusted with our annually burgeoning budgets. Now, ALL the babies of the world have been as if kidnapped, and are now about to be slaughtered if we the people don't rise up with the ransom. Anyone care to try to prove me wrong?
To paraphrase Ghandi, " ... Western Civilization? That would be a good idea!"
Trans-Mutant I couldn't agree with you more. I will either vote for Ron Paul or no one. I will not vote for any of the other bought and paid for shills. I would rather not vote than act like I support this corrupt system. Not voting can be a protest vote. In fact it has won each election for years. It is not just apathy but understanding, at least for some of us. Huey Long said it well.
Quote: Huey Long
Corrupted by wealth and power, your government is like a restaurant with only one dish. They've got a set of Republican waiters on one side and a set of Democratic waiters on the other side. But no matter which set of waiters brings you the dish, the legislative grub is all prepared in the same Wall Street kitchen.
The GOP is in a pickle. The GOP NeoCon's are promoting the old guard candidate's both of whom are war mongers and at this point do not have a chance against Obama or HillBill for that matter. The only Republican with any chance of winning against the Democratic anti-war ticket is Ron Paul. Unfortunately for the NeoCon's, Ron Paul will dismantle their empire (saving us trillions back into our pockets). It is unclear if Obama is deeply into the NeoCon thinking, at the moment. But, my guess is that he is easily corrupted. HillBill is well entrenched with the NeoCon's from prior servitude. This could mean a push toward HillBill or a single ticket (where she is in charge of teaching Obama the ropes of power). In any event, when Ron Paul's message is finally exposed to the general public, the Neocon's will send in Bloomberg to split the vote away from Paul, this will ensure the Democratic ticket gets elected. It seems at the moment, the voters are easily confused and moved. Bottom line, we need Ron Paul to clean up the den of snakes and get us back on a recovery path. Go Ron Paul 2008!
If Ron Paul could muster greater than 5% of support, Mitt Romney would have never been attacked by McCain for an idea that McCain supported about two years ago. Ron Paul's snowball is melting and he will soon be out of the discussion.

Foregone conclusion, Hillary will be the next puppet "running or govt" We need to retake congress in order to win the revolution.
Statist-tick tick tick thats the sound of the clock running out on your nazi regime. Wait til Super Tuesday and we will see your greater than 5% even in the face of the blatant media blackout job the MSM is pulling over the eyes of the voter. BY the way are you on the payroll of the Communist News Network, you sound almost as pandering and "intelligent" as Anderson Pooper.
LIBERTY or DEATH
I hate to speculate, but it's quite possible that Anderson Cooper was freezing Huckabee and Paul out because of personal reasons. On Anderson's personal life, from Wikipedia: "Independent news media have reported that he is gay,[7][8][9] and in May 2007, Out magazine ranked him second among "The Most Powerful Gay Men and Women in America.[10]"
Perhaps he bristled at Huckabee's ignorant religious anti-gay tirades, and, most likely, has misunderstood that although Paul is quite religious, he is a strident believer in the separation of church and state. Paul also believes that individual states should have the ability to decide about gay marriage, and does not believe that the federal government should be involved one way or the other, regardless of his personal stance. While I personally completely support the right of gay marriage, I think it's a marginal issue considering the horrors of our situation in Iraq and the Middle East in general, and of course, the DEVASTATION of our economy.
If I am correct in my assumption about Anderson Cooper, then I have lost all respect for him as a journalist. An open debate on a supposedly balanced news program is not an opportunity to push personal agenda - unless CNN is modeling its practices after the fat cats in DC and especially our ivory tower of a current administration.
Ron Paul is not a realistic candidate for the Republicans so I think his campaign should consider themselves lucky that he was included at all.
Just look at the MSNBC debates, they did not allow Dennis Kucinich, a Democratic candidate to join in. Kucinich tried to take it to court but MSNBC won.
It doesn't matter what network the debates are on or what party a candidate is in. Either way there will be people left out because they have no chance. (Is it the fault of the narrow-minded media that these candidates have no chance? Probably)
