I was doing my daily GoogleNews search of "Ron Paul", when I came across the following article by some guy who would like to see Ron end his campaign.

http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NTAzNDYxYWMwYmU4ZWY4ODVmZGJiNTQ1ZDFiNmU2Mzk=

I am sure John McCain agrees wholeheartedly. I started to write the guy an e-mail, and then decided that I would rather address my comments to the whole Republican Party, since Jim Whatsisface is a nobody, and probably not even a Republican to boot. So here goes:

To the concerned citizens of the Republican Party:     You should be so lucky to have Ron drop out of the race:) We (Ron and all his supporters) are not going anywhere.

I am a Reagan Republican. I voted my first time in 1984. I know Republican Party doctrine. I know that you all think that we have forgotten what that doctrine is. You think that we don't see how far the party has left its values. You guys have a real problem though. We haven't forgotten.

I have voted Republican in every election. To my dismay I voted twice for GW Bush. I believe he has been far worse for America than any president since FDR. He has been far worse than Bill Clinton, and far worse than Hillary could ever be. You see, people like me are leaving the party in droves. We will not tolerate a Republican Party that talks like a democrat, and steals liberty like a communist. We are done.

If Ron Paul doesn't get into office, and there are no new candidates who espouse the Constitution, we are out of here. I feel the Republican Party deserves Hillary. You should have listened when we started expressing our concern. You should have given us candidates we could vote for. You should have simply paid attention to the calls to our representatives begging to control the runaway liberty stealing policies of the Bush Administration. If you had, what is about to happen, both to America and to the GOP, would not be happening.

Just take a look at the slate of candidates you have provided us (with the exception of Ron Paul):

1)       First we have John McCain. A more liberal Republican is hard to find. Here is a man who has steadily done nothing but waffle and compromise. Over the course of his career I have seen him on the side of the Democrats as often as he was following the Republican conservative doctrine. His proclamation last night that he was "the conservative candidate" that could draw the party together was laughable. Hah! John McCain has never been a conservative candidate! He has more truly been a thorn in the side of conservatism. It seems to me that John McCain believes all of us Republicans have Alzheimer's disease. Let's take a look at McCain's so called conservatism shall we? Does anybody but me remember the McCain-Feingold attempt to steal the free speech rights of average Americans???  How about McCain's once again joining with the Democrats in the McCain-Kennedy Immigration Bill to provide amnesty to illegal aliens? What is conservative about that??? Let's reward those who break our laws? Is this really a good plan? What about his joining with John Kerry against the families of POWs/MIAs? http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=39892  There are other skeletons in his closet as well. I cannot vouch for the usefulness of some of this, but some of it certainly worth Googling if you have the time: http://www.realchange.org/mccain.htm http://www.rightwingnews.com/category.php?ent=5365

2)       Then we move on to Mitt Romney. Here's a guy that started Hillary type health care in Massachusetts! There's a conservative for you (sarcasm intended)! Under his plan people would be forced to by insurance whether they wanted it or not. That is slavery, NOT conservatism! http://www.time.com/time/columnist/klein/article/0,9565,1137628,00.html

In addition, Romney is in favor of REAL ID. Real ID is the bill that allows our drivers license to be used as a biometric tracking device for citizens. It is a National ID Card. From the 1984 Republican Party Platform: "We are the party of limited government. We are deeply suspicious of the amount of information which governments collect. Governments limited in size and scope best ensure our people's privacy. Particularly in the computer age, we must ensure that no unnecessary information is demanded and that no disclosure is made which is not approved. We oppose national identification cards." Now tell me Romney is traditional Republican!!!

3)       Next is Mike Huckabee. Huckabee is simply another poser! The following link is by an evangelical Christian in Arkansas. I think it's safe to say that Christian or not, he presents some excellent reasons that Huckabee is NOT a conservative! http://www.townhall.com/blog/g/33391ddb-ed1f-4bc3-9d19-cdca6181d5d4

So just what does all of the above mean? What it means is there is not a single candidate currently running for President that a conservative would bother voting for, except Ron Paul. It also means that the Republican Party has been taken over by people posing as conservatives.

Here is the problem that Republicans are faced with, I will not vote for any of the above candidates, except for Ron Paul, and neither will many other conservatives! I would sooner have Hillary, than continue to see my party dragged through the mud of liberalism. I would rather not vote, or vote third party, than vote for any of the other candidates. I might even go so far as to vote for the other party in protest! It is my considered opinion that Hillary could do no worse than the Republican leadership is currently doing, so why not hasten the demise of America so we can begin to rebuild? THAT is the problem!

It is my strong suggestion that the Republican Party get behind Ron Paul NOW! Otherwise, America has seen her zenith. Either the Republican Party gets behind a true conservative or we SHALL see the destruction of the Republican Party as we know it.

Whatever policies you don't like about Ron it's time to put it aside and accept that he is the only conservative out there! Even if you don't like his policies, 4 years of Ron is better than the end of conservatism altogether. If you want to go back to empire building, constitutional destruction, massive spending and out of control growth of government, it can wait 4 years, when you can run a real alternative.

However, it is my prayer that the real conservatism of Ron Paul will help grow and change our country so that you no longer think those things are so important, because you will have more money in your pocket, a dollar that is strong, real defense of our borders and our sovereignty, less government preventing you from achieving your dreams, more thriving small businesses, stronger farming and local food, and you won't want to go back to these dark ages of government imperialism.

here, here..  I'm a long time Republican and feel the same way.  I'll go 3rd party or vote Dem before I'd vote for McCain or Romney.   The GOP trails the Dems by a wide margin in donations, and I've seen loads of polls that show a Hillary vs McCain or Hillary vs Romney election would be won by the Dems handily.   I've just about decided the neocons stacked the GOP field with losers so Hillary could win.

My, aren't we chipper today, Statist. C'mon, I've seen you write some pretty articulate stuff, can you not contrive something a little more intelligent than that? That's all fine and dandy if you want to wear your contempt on your sleeve like that, but if your going to dissent, can we at least get you to act like an adult? Thanks...

It's ok Dave. If lacking a position of substance, the Statist prefers to devolve into snide remarks and childish behavior, it is almost excusable as we HAVE been driving him up the wall with our unaccountable support of Ron Paul in the face of what he sees as a certain loss:)I actually have been finding it quite entertaining watching how he seems to hit and run Ron Paul articles with a kind of "Look at me! I'm talking." grafitti kind of style.

The man is right. How can I consider myself a conservative and vote for any of these clowns. There's a great degree of FRUSTRATION with the GOP. There're also some serious concerns with the erosion of liberties and rights and the bottom line is that the GOP of today has taken a fascist side AND THAT IS NOT CONSERVATIVE.

As a conservative citizen you have the duty to a) resist such policies b) disobey such liberal policies or laws and c) rebel if there's no constitutional recourse.

All I can say is no matter what, I wil be writing in Ron Paul in November. I WILL vote fore him regardless. I cannot, nay, will not  comprimise my integrity by voting for the lesser of the likely evils, and neither should any other proud American who wishes to remain free.

Obviously the Statist is another graduate of our fine public educational system. No wonder Ron Paul wants to abolish the Dept. of Education: It's obviously a failure, if this is an example of the--ahem--quality produced! Brilliant article. Please consider putting a Digg tag on it, it deserves to be "Dugg"!

This is my first election and I've always been more independent but I am a very rational person and can understand how our monetary and foriegn policy effects everything else. PLEASE, someone tell me how all of these candidates can keep saying that they are going to decrease spending yet every other policy they have contradicts it!! McCain, Romney, and Huckabee all want to police the earth (expecting no one to reltaliate) and spend BILLIONS of dollars of money we don't have.  Where is this money going to come from?  There are only 4 possibilities.

1) print the money, thereby destroying the dollar
2) borrow the money, that stimulates China and inflates our national debt while the American people are eventually taxed more just to pay the interest on our debt
3) decrease spending elsewhere (which even if they eliminated all earmarks and pork barrel, it is less than 20% of our budget. And they certainly aren't going to eliminate entitlements like wellfare and social security)
4) increase taxes (yet all candidates say they are going to decrease taxes)

People are tired of the shell game! Hasn't ANY of these candidates learned to balance a damn checkbook? You can't keep borrowing money to pay the interest on money you already owe then borrow more to spend even more.  It WILL catch up with you.

Only RON PAUL has a solution and maybe American's don't want to hear the harsh reality of where we are as a nation but it doesn't make it any less true.

I've talked to several people just today who told me that the Economy over the last 6 years have generally been pretty good.  My response was simply... if someone gave you a credit card with a 10 million dollar limit and you slowly maxed it out over several years, living a great life but making absolutely no payments, you'd probably say that your life was pretty good. But what happens when you have to pay it all back WITH INTEREST?

That's the problem!  The American people have been hoodwinked.  Completely fooled into thinking everything will be ok and the Government will just fix it.  The FED prints money out of thin air through fractional reserve banking which increases the money supply and drives the dollar into the ground.

We are in for some VERY tough times and if Ron Paul isn't elected and through I wont for any other Republican, I may vote for a DEM.  Maybe I should just vote for Bloomburg if he runs.

I've donated hundreds to Ron Paul so far and will give him another $1000 tomorrow. Yes, its a lot of money, but as far as I'm concerned, it is going to be taken from me anyway and I may as well spend it now before it is completely worthless.
