Vote Fraud? New Hampshire, Louisiana, What’s NEXT Perhaps I have always been a little naive. I guess I believed in the system, and I expected that everyone else believed in the system too. I recognized that there were people in power in government that didn't have the best interest of the country at heart, but I just assumed that most people did want what is best for our nation.by Dee Ann Patterson

I had heard of vote fraud, but I just never thought that is could ever be this pervasive. In fact, somewhere during my twenties, when I heard of possible vote fraud in an election, I was shocked and outraged. It just seemed so much the antithesis of all that was American that it was unbelievable to me that anyone would even consider tromping on the values of those who had shed their blood to give us the grand opportunity to control our own destiny through voting. Ahh, what sadness and reality age brings.
Even so, in spite of all the rumblings of vote fraud in the last two elections, I was still naive. I still wasn't getting it. In fact, I was one of those Americans who went down to the polls, voted for my candidate, and thought that was it! I'd done my civic duty. My vote counted! Then Ron Paul came along. I had been following his career for years. I had watched him stand up to Congress even when he was the only one who would. I had written him on more than one occasion, requesting that he run for president. When I began to hear rumblings that Ron was going to run, I contacted his office immediately. I expressed my desire to help in any way I could. I decided that if I really wanted change in America I needed to sacrifice my time and energy in order to hasten that change. Having become a first time grandmother, I suddenly realized that I needed to be proactive to secure her future.
I am an educated woman. I have been an avid reader all my life. I graduated high school, suffered through 31/2 years of college, before deciding there had to be a better way. Since school, and with the advent of the internet, I have studied independently to learn about everything from science to history to literature. However, when it comes to politics the Ron Paul campaign has been one of the best schools I have ever gone to. First there is the wonderful teacher that Ron is himself. I have learned about the economy, foreign policy, health care, and civil liberty. However, perhaps my greatest lesson has been in just how this nation picks a president.
I seriously thought that we just went to the polls, and voted for the best guy, and called it a day. Of course, if you are the average person your information about how the system works comes from sound bites off the evening news. My only knowledge of delegates was that they were the people the party sent to do the will of the people. I had heard of a caucus, but I didn't know what one was. I was completely oblivious to just how the delegates were chosen.
What an education I have received. In fact, at moments, I am saddened that I have gotten such an education, because what I found was not what I expected to find in my own nation. Politically I finally left behind dolls and cotton candy, and grew up. Not only did I get educated, I found out that our nation is in an even bigger struggle than I ever anticipated. I found out just how far my party had fallen. I found out that there were machinations behind the scenes attempting to either make my vote irrelevant or usurping my vote totally.
Because of what I have been discovering, I have found myself with the need to share with my fellow naive Americans just exactly what is going on under their noses. It just so happened that when I began looking for a way to express myself in a more national forum, I found Nolan Chart. I was so grateful for the opportunity to share my opinion with the world, I joined that very day.
I began writing about what I was seeing happen in the political landscape. I've been writing about Ron Paul, about the Republican Party, about the debacle in Louisiana. In short I have been trying to tell America to WAKE UP!
I never thought I was asleep in the first place. I always considered myself astute on the political level. However, I have become convinced this nation is being stolen from us, the people. It is time for us to get it back! It's like waking up in OZ, and wanting to get back to Kansas. It's time to accept where we are, and to do that we have to actually look around and see.
Therefore, let us have a refresher course in just what is happening. I have been recently discussing what has been happening in Louisiana. I have some more updated information to share.
1)First of all, in order to see how Ron Paul is currently doing as far as Louisiana delegates are concerned I suggest you cross reference the following list of Ron Paul Delegates with the updated results on the LAGOP website below that:
Unfortunately similar problems have been reported in New Hampshire, and it would behoove everyone to check out Deevy Kidd's excellent report on the current recount in NH.
The question I have is, what's next? How far will those who wish to extend their power go to subvert Dr. Paul's message. The media during this campaign has been so interesting to me. You would think the media would have been making a real issue of Dr. Paul's campaign, if nothing else using him to show how divided the Republican Party is. However, they have been actively trying to keep Dr. Paul's views in a dark closet. For the public, this should be a clue! People in power are afraid of Ron Paul's message, and they are too afraid to let that message get the full light of day. That is the very reason the American People should vote for Ron Paul. Anyone who instills this much fear in the power hungry, liberty stealing elite deserves every American's vote!
