Anger Management The Derb takes swipes at Obama!by Christopher Espinal

John Derbyshire of the National Review Online recently took swipes at Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama. Click here to read Derbyshire's immature and super partisan nonsense.
Firstly, "The Derb" as they call him, goes on a hissy fit about Barack Obama making his usual rant against special interests and lobbies in Washington. Let's not forget the other attack against Obama's usual bogus line about change and young people. Yet, someone who has no chance of winning, and touts a similar message, received Derbyshire’s endorsement. No, I’m not talking about the failed conservative Tax-Hike-Mike. Speaking of "that" candidate, Ron Paul actually addressed his similarities with Barack Obama during a Republican Debate.
Secondly, "The Derb" makes a ridiculous claim, that Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and Billary Clinton never had longevity in Washington. Ronald Reagan had the opportunity to further the ideas of the notorious conservative leader, former Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater. It was essentially Goldwater that brought Reagan into national politics. George Bush Sr. had advisors all over the Washington scene and a decent history with the CIA. I have reason to believe Bush Sr. had signficant Washington influence. No need to talk about Lil’ Bushie. Finally, Bill Clinton used his contacts within Washington to rise as President-elect after Bush Sr.’s first term. Thus, they all had longevity in Washington. Obama I believe has a different situation.
Barack Obama is a Junior Senator, who served in the most juvenile of political positions in Illinois, quickly rising to becoming a national politician. So yeah, there's a guy with no longevity. Why do you think experience was an initial problem to Obama’s campaign!
Thirdly, "The Derb" wants to attack Obama for his rather socialist ideals. By socialist, I mean a politician disguised as a pro-capitalist Democrat who is actually, while in the closet, creating the blueprint for a Social Democracy. Or, does he receive significant support because the rest of America wants to head in that direction? There’s something wrong when today’s Republicans take the Rockefeller position of maintaining and financing some of Washington’s largest and most inefficient bureaucracies. When the party that used to oppose socialistic stances succumbs to these ideas, when Ron Paul gets laughed at for talking about eliminating the Department of Education, when front runner John McCain complains about his colleagues’ sentiments for refining the unconstitutional IRS, I think we are moving in the direction of socialism. I need not comment on what the Democrats want to do with everything; hint: nationalization.
Joseph Schumpeter surely wasn’t joking when he said that the United States will softly and quietly end up in socialism.
But who is to blame for all of this? Barack Obama?
No, I think our high standard of living is what is to blame. The richer a country becomes, the more leisure it demands. The best way to reach leisure time is to get Big Brother to do some of the work around the house. So take a chill pill Derb!
Quit complaining about someone who clearly wants to push this country in that direction. Complain about the folks who claim their stake on the rhetoric of small government.
