Florida Republican Voters Will Do As They Are Told Florida voters will do as they are told by the media that controls them.by Scott from Oregon

Floridian Republicans have been bombarded by the media to believe that there are less than five choices for their party. If you follow the horserace that is the Republican primaries, you will undoubtedly know this. The media would like you to believe that Mitt Romney and John McCain are the go-to guys this election cycle. They want you to consider Mike Huckabee as a fallback candidate (if you are super religiously inclined) and perhaps Rudy Guiliani (if you are insane).
How do I know this? Well, I've been watching the media like a hawk.
Why have I been watching the media like a hawk? Well, because I feel it is my duty as a citizen of this great country to protect the rights of her citizens and the purity of her election processes.
How do I feel about this process and these rights? Well, let's just say I'd rather be getting a Starbucks coffee and heading over to my massage therapist for an hour of torment, than watching Fox "news" or CNN.
What have Fox "news" and CNN taught me about this election cycle? Well, mostly, that people really ARE like sheep, and Floridians are no different. When given an alternative to business as usual in our federal government, Floridians will opt for business as usual. They will do as they are told, and not think outside of any box. They will go with the current and then put their collective heads back in the sand.
The only Republican running that offers a grand vision and a return to freedom and common sense has been censored right out of the media's purview. His name is Ron Paul, but the media would prefer that you not pay him any attention.
They want you to vote the way they tell you to.

Maybe when the sheep get less grass to graze on, they will get hungry (and angry). Who knows? American sheep may just decide to eat the dirt and call it a health-food product.
Sad but true. As a lifelong Floridian I can tell you concern about politics is at about the same level as whether or not you've got enough air in your tires. In this environment it doesn't take much for media to manipulate people.
Hi Scott, Ron Paul does not exist in Florida except for a large contingency of grass-roots supporters. I just caught the noon news on the NBC Orlando channel and here was their report on the most recent Florida poll.
First screen: Pictures of Romney at 32%, McCain at 31%, Giuliani at 14%
Second screen: Picture of Huckabee at either 10% or 12% (I may not have this right as I was distracted by the last panel. There was no picture and the panel was “Undecided” at 7%. The last figure I think was “other” at either 4% or 6% depending on what Huckabee had.
Sorry I’m not more accurate but the second screen was only up for a few seconds and like I said, I was distracted. The point, as I’m sure all of you recognize was not the count but that Ron Paul was not even pictured in this report.
Except for local newspaper ads that our groups paid for and our guys on some guest spots on a number of local radio programs, RP does indeed not exist in our area media coverage.
The good news is that Ron Paul was smart enough not to spend too much time or money here (a winner take all state). I got to meet him on 3 different occasions after debates or rallies where he then spent most of his time at our rallies supporting our efforts. He knows what we are up against and is “working” this election where he can get the most “bang for the buck”.
I have literally spoken to hundreds of people and given information to several thousand others over the last 9 months but, unfortunately, my state has become a haven for the elitist by the uninformed and those dependant on government programs. I hate to say that the state where I was born has become a disgrace to the cause of freedom everywhere. Too harsh maybe?
I've gotta say despite Dr. Paul's seemingly grim numbers in the state you wouldn't know it here in Jacksonville, FL's biggest and most populous city. Much props to the Jax meetup group. You can't go a mile down the road without seeing a few signs or banners and it's brought about an unbelievable amount of interest in the revolution.
