God Speaks to Romney during Debate Mitt Romney heard a whisper during the debate which gave him the answer to a question. Clearly, this was the work of God.by Stephen Wood

During the Presidential debate on January 24th, 2008, something unprecedented happened during a question to Mitt Romney. He was asked if he would do what Reagan did in 1983.
Now this question could have been followed up with a question from the candidate, "could you clarify the question? Ronald Reagan did a lot of things in 1983".
He didn't do that, he just miraculously, out of thin air, answered; "I won't raise taxes!" That answer would be fine and dandy if it weren't for that tiny little snafu caused by the whispered voice that preceded his answer. Just before Romney answered the vague question, a whispered voice can be heard saying: "He raised taxes!"
Of course that is what the question was about. Any idiot could have determined that the only thing worth mentioning about Ronald Reagan and the year in question was that he had raised taxes. Never mind that in 1983, Reagan introduced his "Star Wars" initiative, he shook Saddam's hand while in Bagdad, giving support to our Ally, the late great Dictator of Dictators, Saddam Hussein.
Nope, this question was clearly about raising taxes. How do we know this? Because a little voice in Mitt's ear told him so.
Now some have said that this voice was possibly one of the other candidates whispering the answer to another candidate. I don't think this is very plausible since they were there to make the other candidates look bad, giving them the answer would have defeated the purpose of the debate.
Another possible reason for the voice was that Tim Russert whispered the answer to help clarify the question. This is even more preposterous. If the question was vague or not completed yet, it would be a simple matter of courtesy for Romney to have asked that the question be clarified.
I believe there is another explanation for the voice of clarification. God spoke to Romney. God is clearly on his side. He made him better looking than the other candidates, that is because God favors Romney. He gave Romney Staples, rich parents, lots of kids, obviously signs that God prefers Mitt Romney to say, Mike Huckabee.
So, if someone tries to tell you that Mitt cheated at the debate by using an electronic prompter to help him answer correctly, you just tell them that they are going to Hell because of their unbelief.
For the rest of us, we witnessed a miracle. God spoke and Romney listened.

I think it is quite clear what is happening here.
Someone in the audience was prompting him using highly directional speakers / audio beamforming. They have developed recently to the point where sound can be projected at a very fine point.
Quoting http://www.holosonics.com "The Audio Spotlight is a revolutionary new audio technology that creates sound in a narrow beam, just like light. Aim the flat, thin speaker disc to your desired listening area, and provide all of the sound — with none of the noise."
Romney, however, was likely using something from http://www.browninnovations.com
It would be far too obvious if he had worn an earpiece--and the whisper did not seem to have any electronic distortion (i.e. of RF/interference origin). Therefore, the evidence points to audio beamforming.
