Loisiana, Nevada, Washington, and the internet combine to give Paul a big boost going into SuperFriday. by jaded

So first Ron Paul pulled second in Nevada. No one was sure what it meant: It was after all a distant second in a lightly contested state, more notable for how poorly rest did than for how well Paul did.
First provisional votes are not yet included in the count. Provisional votes are all those cast by recently registered Republicans. Paul tends to have a lot of supporters who recently registered Republican to vote for him, so prsumably as these votes are verified and counted his numbers will rise.
But second the winning slate was "uncommitted Pro-Life". Of the three front-running committed slates (McCain, Paul, Romney) Paul is the only one viewed as solidly pro-life.
Moreover, he is getting more attention from the pro-life movement, a) because he was the only presidential candidate to speak at Tuesday's March for Life in DC, b) because Thompson (the NRLC's sometimes candidate) just dropped out, and c) because he just got endoresed by "Jane Roe".
If those "uncommitted pro-life" delegates look around for a viable (at the state level), pro-life candidate, the natural choice is Ron Paul. And if they back him, he could easily take first in the state.

Thank you for the encouraging information. I knew Ron Paul spoke at the Pro-Life Rally, but I did not realize he was the only presidential candidate to do so. In other words, none of the other candidates--who claim to be pro-life--came to the nation's yearly pro-life rally. {ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER . . . }
I'm a former pro-life Democrat, and it was the pro-life issue that brought me to first support Ron Paul. And like an avalanche, my further research only make me like him more and more, to even start campaigning and maxing out my $2300 donation to him (and additional money to Ron Paul Radio, Ron Paul Blimp). This all happened 7 months ago. Let the avalanche of truth continue!
First, I wanted to comment on your pseudonym - Jaded. I love it. You are not alone. I am a disenchanted 40 something year old who has long believed that the system is corrupt and possibly beyond repair but hoping not.
As for your story - it makes perfect sense, but the LA caucus does not.
