Dr. Ron Paul, an OB/GYN who has delivered more than 4000 babies in his career, is the one presidential candidate who will not idly wait for supreme court justices to die off or to retire. by creator

I applaud your no-holds-barred graphic description and pointed personalization of the violence of the killing of the unborn. Along with you, I shudder at what we have done, and I weep for the pain and the loss of millions of innocents, the poverty we now experience as a result of being deprived of all the contributions they might have made to humanity.
I hope that everyone who reads my letter to you will also read your shocking article and take it to heart. I too am an activist, regularly and publicly protesting outside of the Planned Parenthood facility in my city.
However, I find your call to action naive. I agree that real, immediate, and effective action is desperately needed -- but can you really believe the appropriate action to be that of choosing a man who will, maybe, be able to appoint a "justice" or two? This is the futile path we have been following for more than a third of a century! This is the "action" that has been worse than idleness!
In your well intended zeal, do you not understand why abortion is "safe and legal" in all 50 states of the union? It is because we have GRANTED the federal government an illegal and usurped authority over abortion. Do you not realize that under the rule of law, our Constitution actually PROHIBITS the federal government from any say so in these matters?
It is well-meaning Christians, such as yourself, who sadly have "thrown out the baby with the bathwater" by advocating what can be called nothing other than lawlessness. We expect government to protect life on the one hand, and yet we demand that they break the law in order to do so. This makes no sense.
I appeal to you to please consider the history, the heart, and the platform of Dr. Ron Paul, an OB/GYN who has delivered more than 4000 babies in his career. He is the one presidential candidate who will not idly wait for one or two supreme court justices to die off or to retire. He has not only introduced significant pro-life legislation, but has a well-reasoned and constitutional plan that would bring about real action in the near term.
Which is better? Fifty states with their hands tied, unable to protect their children - this is what we have had for the last 35 years - or each state able once again to respond to the voice of their citizens and communities to protect life? Returning the federal judiciary to its rightful role, namely restoring the states' jurisdiction over abortion, would immediately massively increase the protection for the unborn citizens of America. Restoring constitutional restrictions on the federal government would also immediately end illegal funding of abortuaries.
I call on you therefore to join Norma McCorvey, "Jane Doe," in endorsing Dr. Ron Paul for president of the United States.
Thank you for your time and attention!
Very sincerely,
-Dann McCreary
