Topic: Ron Paul
Something is afoot with Ron Paul in Louisiana

He may win, that or Ronald Reagan. Louisiana seems to have a very complicated Caucus system, and there are rumors abuzz all over the internet with no official results in yet and the main stream media ignoring it.

Whoa, Im living away from home on the other side of the planet and the time zones are all screwy, but Im trying to make sense of all these Louisiana rumors going on, and am asking myself why these votes are taking so long to count. The caucus was on January 22nd and there are no official results, but Ron Paul supporters there are claiming it is an overwhelming victory, although I have read a few posts that something went wrong and a huge opportunity was missed.

Others are saying somehow Ronald Reagan got on the ballot and won. I've read some posts claiming it was an attempt by the other candidates to pool their support to counter-act Dr. Paul's.

Something is definitely going on, I just hope this isn't the work of those vocal minority racist and 9/11 truther supporters who have already caused more harm than good. I'm hoping the hope I'm harboring for victory isn't misfounded.

PLEASE COMMENT WITH ANY WELL FOUNDED NEWS ON PAUL IN LOUISIANA

Let us hope that THIS TIME, we see legitimate voting totals.  Dr. Paul is this country's last hope to put back into place what our forefathers worked so hard to give us - Freedom, Liberty and a Government that abides by the Constitution.  We cannot afford to give up and we should never vote for someone we dislike simply to prevent someone we dislike more from getting office.   Dr. Paul has my vote.  Tell 'the powers that be' that WE THE PEOPLE are taking our country back.

Guys there is an easy way to combat this slimey political machine.  We are sending canvassing letters to our precinct Republicans.  We just added a sticker.

It says "UPDATE.  We just got word that Ron Paul won Tuesday's Louisiana caucus"

He did.  He beat all "candidates". The pro family slate is not a candidate.

If anyone does a search online they will not find any other candidate that beat him.

Please follow suit!

On all articles please title Ron Paul beats all other Republican Candidates in Louisiana Caucaus.

If any news site digs into this they will have to admit we are correct and either post the truth or keep their mouth shut.  Either way a google search will turn up Ron Paul Wins Louisiana.

According to the Ron Paul Forums the other candidates all grouped together under a reagan pro-life/pro-family banner to combine their support to win delegates. This has cost the Paul campaign heavily. The other candidates had to 'gang up' on Ron Paul becuase they could not beat him inidividually.

If we had international observers looking at our election process in the U.S., they would probably point to the Kenyan and Russian elections as being more open and fair. How can we be supposedly 'Fighting to spread Democracy' around the world, when the world can see on the fornt pages of their newspapers what a corrupt laughingstock most of our elections have become. And I'm not even beginning to talk about the Diebold (or Premier or whatever the electioneers are calling themselves this week) fiasco in using hackable data cards to tally votes! And what in the world is up with using PRIVATE COMPANIES (some owned by foreign interests!) to COUNT THE VOTES?!?!?! I thought our county clerks were trustworthy and fair enough. But maybe that's the problem- the parties don't want 'trustworthy' and 'fair'- they want the results tro match thier pre-ordained picks!

The Founding Fathers may stop spinning in their graves and just launch themselves zombie-like on a clueless electorate to point out how far America has strayed from it's Constitution and it's original purpose and ideals. How does this sound: Paper ballots, open and fair counting of those ballots, and only reporting the results when they have been verified as fair and accurate? Now the networks will  scream and howl about 'Delays', but what's more important- getting the results EARLY, or getting the results RIGHT?

Links to the Unofficial Result for Delegates by District http://www.lagop.com/docs/Unofficial_Results_CD_1D.PDF http://www.lagop.com/docs/Unofficial_Results_CD_2D.PDF http://www.lagop.com/docs/Unofficial_Results_CD_3D.PDF http://www.lagop.com/docs/Unofficial_Results_CD_4D.PDF http://www.lagop.com/docs/Unofficial_Results_CD_5D.PDF http://www.lagop.com/docs/Unofficial_Results_CD_6D.PDF http://www.lagop.com/docs/Unofficial_Results_CD_7D.PDF The problem is there is no indication of which delegates are for which candidates in these lists. Can anyone positively identify which of the winning delegates in these lists are for Ron Paul? My understanding is that the top 15 in each list are the delegates to the state convention, where they will vote to choose the delegates to the national convention. The good news is that most of the alternate delegates ran unopposed and were for Ron Paul. If any non-Paul delegate can't make it to the state convention it is very likely they will be replaced by a Paul alternate. If the other candidates' delegates grouped together, they would still be likely to vote for different national delegates where Ron Paul delegates will vote for Paul delegates. They will only be able to overwhelm the Paul delegates if they all vote for the same national delegates.

Quote: Huey Long

Corrupted by wealth and power, your government is like a restaurant with only one dish. They've got a set of Republican waiters on one side and a set of Democratic waiters on the other side. But no matter which set of waiters brings you the dish, the legislative grub is all prepared in the same Wall Street kitchen.

Huey Long--former LA Governor

It was indeed Ron Paul or Ronald Reagan (Ronald Reagan being everyone on the slate except Ron Paul).  I, of course, voted for the actual living candidate.  The delegatates on the Reagan slate are "professional politicians" working their own way to the top and don't appreciate the people interrupting business as usual.  There were more people running for Congressional seats & other offices than supporters for the "Reagan" candidates where I voted.

In a discracefull, cowardly move the supporters of Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, and Mitt Romney ganged up on Ron Paul supporters and set up a “fusion” slate of unpledged candidates. The “fusion” Delegate slate, labeled the “Pro-Life/Pro-Family” slate, beat the Ron Paul slate in each of the 7 U.S. House districts. These developments show us that it is an anyone but Paul race, and they are scared.

My anger at what has apparently transpired in Louisiana knows no bounds. The officials of the Republican Party in Louisiana did not even address or confirm what occurred between the other candidate’s campaigns and their representatives, the Republican elected officials in the state and the people who run the party in the state when they announced the “results”. Then they had the gall to pander to Ron Paul’s supporters and say how proud they were to see such dedicated persons participating in the process. Words to describe their hubris fail me. (If my understanding of what happened in Louisiana is incorrect, then I offer my apologies.)

These people behave with a total lack of ethics and honor, and then pander to Ron Paul’s supporters and expect them to be happy about what happened. If they believe the supporters of Ron Paul will be members of the Republican Party after being treated so shabbily and with such disrespect, they are fools. I have considered myself a Republican most of my life, but I now ashamed to call myself one.

The perpetrators of this fraud were apoplectic when they realized that the candidate that may turn out the most voters might be Ron Paul. Their arrogance and sense of superiority would not allow them to simply play by the rules and be honorable persons. They believe Ron Paul is beneath them and not worthy to be a member of their club. They failed to organize and prepare for their own caucus. They simply figured one of their preferred candidates would win and since the press was not watching, it was of no importance. They also never counted on the possibility that when the primary occurs on February 9 that one candidate would not get at least 50% of the vote. The idea that delegates for Ron Paul may actually be attending the national convention from Louisiana was an anathema to them. Therefore, they fell back to their old tricks and shenanigans, colluded with one another, and attempted to manipulate the caucus results. It is when a person is faced with adversity and defeat that we see their true colors and the measure of their character. It is apparent that they are cowards.

I also wonder where the media is as these events transpired. It used to be that journalists would smell a great story here and be pounding down doors to discover the truth. Corruption and collusion have made great stories and bylines. However, I fear the silence will be deafening.

We should wear these events as a badge of honor. The powers that be look down their collective noses at Ron Paul and his supporters, and it makes me proud to be on the right side of history and on the side of liberty and justice. If the other candidates do not repudiate the actions of their official representatives then they undeserving of our respect and the high office they seek. They will fail in the efforts to silence and marginalize Ron Paul. They have only sown the seeds of their own defeat.

 Just my opinion.

We need a revolution within the Republican party, it may take some time, maybe years to accomplish the objective, but it is doable.  We can take back the party from the neocons and place Ron Paul Republicans in office all over the country and in Congress.  We can build a movement that cannot be stopped or ignored!!!  Do not lose the faith Mr. Gallion, vow to fight on until your death for the cause of Liberty, Truth & Justice.   We must be organized, we must never relent.

Have Faith Fellow Paulites!!!  The Almighty is on the side of Truth & Liberty!!!
