Britney Spears Defeats Ron Paul In A Media Head To Head

Why are Britney's kids more important than America's children?

The major media "news" outlets have decided that Britney Spears is far more important to the well-being of America than Ron Paul, the "kooky" doctor of forty years and US Representative for twenty, who has been predicting the current economic recession that is now only beginning to be covered by the earnest "news" services.

In a head to head comparison of time and words allotted to the two competitors, it seems Britney has got the good doctor in a headlock.

"Britney is a national icon," said one man on the street. "And Dr. Paul... well, he’s so SERIOUS, ya know?"

"If only Dr. Paul had his own TV show like Dr. Phil!" suggested another man on the street.

"If only he spoke in shorter sentences that sounded, like, really cool, ya know?" lamented a college girl, mid-text (someone tell that girl to pull her pants up).

And the media concurs. Another Britney headline just came through- "Britney Spears Arrives At LA Courthouse, Then Leaves The Building" adding to the pummeling Dr. Paul has been taking in the "news".

Vegas odds have Britney finally getting her act together, at 3,500 to 1 against. Apparently, Ron Paul has his act together, as no odds were set for the good doctor.

this is something that is lamented by  both the Dems and the Repubs. I think that it is only human for the small minded to desire to see people that are popular to suffer. It is sickening.

While humorous, your article rings true.  We have become a trivial society, which is obsessed  with self-gratification and self-glorification.  The greatest dangers to America are from within, from apathy, disinterest, and ignorance.  We're a nation of rebellious teenagers.

This speaks volumes about contemporary American society.  I don’t blame the msm for this. This is the doing of the American people.  Msm is out to make a buck and Britney “Spare me”     attracts more views; more views equal more ad time to sell and more money for the ad time sold.  So for the msm it is just another business decision.  Again this falls on the shoulders of the “I want my rights but not the responsibilities” Americans.
