Time is short, very short, with "Super Tuesday," February 5th, just around the corner. Have you enlisted in Ron Paul's Infantry yet? There are 180,000 openings!
It's fun, it's easy, anyone can do it! You don't have to wait for someone else, you can start today. Here's your simple 1 - 2 - 3 guide:
With 180,000 openings for Precinct Leaders, the infantry is growing day by day. Your participation will make a big difference on Super Tuesday!
To supply your kit, your quickest sources are the Ron Paul 2008 website (for precinct lists) and your local Ron Paul Meetup Group leader (for Slim-Jims.)
Now for some tips and observations from two of the "Ron Paul Infantry" that have been out there for weeks now, knocking on doors:
Maggie says:
Dress neatly and casually
Map your precinct in advance
Visit the most likely (Republican & Libertarian) households first
Carry a small portfolio to organize your materials
Keep a big smile on your face!
Answer questions, but don't argue
Move on quickly if you find you aren't welcome
Record household results - i.e. contact, not home, or supporter
Elisabeth says:
50-60% won't be home when you call
Most will accept the literature you offer
Many are apathetic about the election and have a very shallow understanding of the candidates
The young seem more receptive to details - they "get it" and will be the ones to save the country
The worst reception I've had is "I'm not interested"
Debt is at all-time highs - people need economic hope!
The internet has made this revolution possible
Finally, here are a few words from our Commander in Chief!
We want to win as many delegates to the Republican National Convention as possible
OK, Ron Paul supporter, you've heard from the people out doing the work and from Dr. Paul himself. Now is the time! Today's the day! What are you waiting for, an engraved invitation? Pull on your boots and get out the vote!

To all the soldiers of the REVOLUTION. NEVER GIVE UP a country depends upon us. How many Tory's said the same thing only to proudly fly the flag once we the patriots fought the fight.
I got my musket oiled and my powder is dry.
Good luck and GODSPEED
LIBERTY or DEATH

To the_statist: Paul may have won the Missouri caucuses, but a lot of registered voters were forced to cast provisional ballots. So he came in second (technically, third to "pro-life undeclared") behind McCain, but probably should have been first.
Lots of monkey business in the balloting this year, I'm afraid...
Sure, Staist...if you were to count all of the votes in LA, he would have won. But somebody decided to change the rules at the last minute...so...go figure.
