After contributing to the Ron Paul MLK Moneybomb this morning, I wrote a quick note to the official campaign. by Bob Nightingale

The latest stimulus package by our government is too little, too late. I'm sure there are plenty of Americans that feel like I do. I want the campaign to get the word out.
The following is the exact text of a message I sent to the Ron Paul 2008 campaign, after I sent in another little donation at www.ronpaul2008.com/donate.
It's the economy. It's the inflation tax. It's hitting us all.
The $150bn stimulus package is just more "borrow and spend", which is worse than the Democrats "tax and spend" of the 80s. It'll be forgotten in a month. We're stealing from the future.
You can't make someone who hasn't slept in days more productive by giving him another cup of coffee. The economy needs a rest. Instead it's going to crash.
I hope there is a Ron Paul commercial on "Austrian Economics", and his adherence to its principles for the last 30+ years. The other candidates don't have a clue/plan. I know it's expensive to run something like this during Cramer's Mad Money, but the word's got to get out. Maybe a half hour infomercial? I'd like to see something run nationally, regularly. Something directed right at that 60+ age group, who don't want to see their grandchildren suffer. 2nd's cool so far, but there need to be a lot of 1sts on Feb 5.
Here's a couple more bucks to make it happen. God bless.

Your comment, "The latest stimulus package by our government is too little, too late," makes it sound like the government should have done more, earlier. The fact is that the government should do nothing. It should get out of the way and let the free market work this out. If anything, the government should drastically cut spending then cut taxes. Â
But like you already point out, they'll simply borrow to pay for the stimulus. They'll either borrow from the Chinese or they'll print the money and create inflation.  The destructive Keynesian policies of the 20th century are coming home to roost. It is incredibly ironic that Bernanke, who wrote his dissertation on the '29 crash and subsequent depression, will be presiding over the next Great Depression.Â
Ron Paul is the only hope for our country! He is the only one who understands why we need the worlds most valuble currency to be the dollar, who cares about how cheap it is now for Euro's to come over here for tourism.
Umm, if it's cheaper here for them, then it means it's more expensive to go there. I didn't realize getting the economy of Mexico was our goal here.   You can go to Mexico cheap to, look at what a great country it is.
Common sense statist, to bad you seem to lack any.
