Taxation Is A Tool, Blowback Is A Phenomenon, And Ron Paul's Revolution Is Still Blowing In The Wind.

Will the political/economic/taxation storm blow down a few notions?

April 15th is not that far off. As the election cycle grinds on, so too rises the yearly angst in Americans about filing and paying the federal income tax.

This year, the paying of hard earned income will be exceptionally difficult for many, as the economy falters and inflation steals from us and millions find themselves losing their homes. When the checks are signed and the spoils handed over, Americans might just be asking themselves "what am I getting in return for this?"

The dark cloud is coming, folks. The barometer is falling; and even those predisposed by motivation to be optimistic are reaching behind them for umbrellas.

The US government has come up with a rather novel idea to help combat this pending problem- give back some of what they took.

Amazing.

With this perfect storm brewing off in the near distance, what I wonder is "is blowback a real phenomenon?" Are we going to see an explosion in the minds of Americans as all of this fulminates around us? As foreclosures pop up in our neighborhoods and as the debt in Washington increases, and as more and more of American interests get bought up by overseas investors, are the American people going to toss the proverbial tea over the side of the proverbial boat? Are we headed for a showdown with our own government?

There are odd leaflets of revolt flittering around in the storm winds.

Some people are suggesting that we take the tax refunds the government is contemplating giving us, and donate it- in an ironic gesture- to the Ron Paul Revolution.

Some are suggesting outright tax protestations. Instead of tax returns, they have suggested sending in a list of grievances, demanding action before any tax is released.

Some have suggested using the upcoming tax season as an impetus to educate Americans about where their money goes, why it goes there, and why so much of it is unnecessary and a burden on regular folks who live regular lives.

Some people are demanding that we take more taxes from regular folks, because the government knows all about fixing the economy (cough cough).

The question blowing around these days, is- "with this storm coming down the alley, will America rock its own boat while the seas roil and the storms rage? Are we going to see an ideological clash in the midst of all the upcoming uncertainty? Is it gonna get ugly outside?

Lash yourselves in, folks. We shall see.

and if you believe you have to give the governement half of everything you have in the form of an "income tax" then you are amoungst the most ignorant of the masses. No one in the private sector has to pay a tax on their labor unless they WANT too. Don't believe it? Rread the the LAW and see the PROOF: http://www.losthorizons.com/
