Ron Paul finished second in the Nevada Republican presidential caucuses today, defying recent polls that had the Texas congressman finishing in fourth, fifth or sixth place.
According to results reported on the Nevada GOP's website, Congressman Paul placed second with 13 percent, topping John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani.
"Ron Paul has once again topped multiple media-anointed 'frontrunners' with his poll-defying second place showing in Nevada," said Ron Paul campaign chairman Kent Snyder. "We're in this race to win, and we're going to battle for every delegate in this wide-open race for the Republican nomination."

A point which means something to me, if no one else ... In Nye County, home of Art Bell, RP actually won outright; more votes than any other candidate including Romney.

In regard to name recognition and subsequently votes, the only direction RP can go is up. Not sure the same positive outlook can be said for the others. Alas, do I hear the first chews of pundits eating crow? Please do all you can to spread the good name and ideals of Ron Paul so that change WILL sweep through hallowed halls of the nation's capitol.
OK, how long did that leadin take to create? What a tongue twister, hard as heck to say it, just as hard as it is for anyone in the MSM to say Paul finished second! The longer he stays in the race the better for the entire process!
