Topic: Ron Paul
The Day Ron Paul Takes Office Today Ron Paul is their unwanted step-child. Imagine the media frenzy a year from now when Dr. Ron Paul is sworn in as the 44th President of the United States!by creator

Caucuses and primaries are now a distant memory, November's dramatic election is history. Media activity has kicked into high gear! Brass bands are on parade! Television reporters trip over one another to interview Dr. Paul. All across America, Paul supporters and foes alike hang on his every word. ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, even FOX microphones are thrust forward into Paul's face. Members of the press corps vie for his attention, to be selected to ask a question of this man recently catapulted to super-stardom.
"Ron" no longer necessary, "Paul" alone is sufficient to trigger universal recognition. He has become a household name. Even so, pundits are forced to admit that global fame has not changed Paul. He is still the same humble, yet powerful voice for Liberty, foe of massive government, yes, he is still "Dr. No" and he remains the Champion of the Constitution. Paul's very first words as he takes on this world-renowned role affirm it. A track record of twenty years in public service bolster the nation's confidence in his transparent sincerity.
Watch with me now as Ronald Ernest Paul places one hand on a Bible and raises the other towards Heaven, publicly and with deep sincerity swearing this oath:
"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
God alone knows a man's heart, but for the first time in recent memory, an entire nation shares the overwhelming sense that this President has truly meant it.
Hail to the Chief! America welcomes you, President Paul!

I've had this same dream, and Ron Paul traveling to other countries to meet with their leaders and the people of these countries coming out to cheer for him in numbers never seen before for anyone. The man who united the world by providing peace while standing up for his own country's sovereignty and prosperity. I live in Charleston, SC, so I got to see our man in person last night at the veterans rally downtown, wow, and I get to walk across the street this morning and vote in our primary (my first time) for who will hopefully be our next Commander in Chief.
If you want to live the dream, you have to contribute to it's realization! Get up off the chair and go talk to your neighbors! That is the only true disconnect between our "google hits" and our Primary and Caucus results!!!! Not media manipulation, not MSM black-outs, just our collective "passive acceptance" of the fact that Hillary is "their" candidate, and so will be elected by virtue of this fact.
On the flip-side of this media-inspired resignation, I sense a deep frustration. A contempt for the denial of liberty that all true Americans feel. But, for some stupid reason these "Americans" can't find the time to hold a sign? Do an hour of door-to-door time? Donate $20 to a campaign? Give your neighbor a ride to your state's primary or caucus?
Give me a break America! If you want 8 more years of the SAME OLD CRAP! Stay in your chair and watch the election (and then the country) be stolen from the American People one CNN report, or blog entry at a time (for the third time!)!!! Your "passive acceptance" of a leash would be no less shameful, and no less earned.
When you're talking to people about Ron Paul's honesty, tell them to go to FactCheck.org, a non-partisan, non-profit group that tracks the candidates' statements in speeches and commercials, then checks them for truthfulness. You won't find a single misstatement from Ron Paul, much less any deceptions, half-truths, or outright lies. The only time his name is mentioned is when he is listed as a participant in a debate. All of the other candidates have lengthy notations of their misrepresentations, intentional or not.
We really need to start emulating Reason magazing and producing idea arguments, not continuous drivel for the campaign for RonPaul2008.
As of right now, this site seems to be all about wishing Ron Paul to do well, when in all actuallity he is the political equivalent of Don Quixote fighting windmills and living in the fantasy world that most Americans are Libertarian.
Sorry to break it to you, but never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. The Democrats have a lot more stupid people than us "smart" libertarians. Sadly, the Libertarian ideology is to the Republican Party as the Green Party is to the Democratic party. We have to pick our Centrists well. Either we start supporting a candidate that can actually win, or we go up against the Elephants, get stomped and while we are getting stomped the Donkey kicks the elephant out of office. Weighing things, which do you prefer, less taxes or unashamed socialism?
We need to have our own Libertarian Zionism. We need to get more and more Libertarians in the class room educating America's future. At present Limbaugh, Bortz, and Penn And Teller are our biggest allies in this effort. We need to stop Statism from infiltrating our young skulls full of mush.
I know everyone hates me, but I am just telling the truth.
I'll gladly take honest unashamed socialism over more of the same bush-lies. Give us a centrist with the integrity of Ron Paul and I'd happily vote for her or him come the general election.
That is the fundamental problem of politics, principles don't get you elected, politics does. You have to say things that people want to hear. Everytime Bush has tried to take a libertarian stance, it was defeated. (see ANWAR Drilling and Amnesty for Illegal Alliens and Guest worker program.)
He got into office because he convinced enough stupid evangelicals that he was a born again holy roller. He got reelcted because he appeased them by appointing them into government agencies.
I seriously wish that Christianity and Environmentalism would die, that way we could be a truly atheist-libertarian nation. Until that happens, don't plan to see an honest politician in office. Especially not Ron Paul.
May God bless Ron Paul and Kucinich. And I hope and pray that one of them will be elected president of the USA, and till lead to the abolishment of the ICTY and its indictments, please God.
