Any conflicting evidence or is my case proven?

Since Sunday, when I published 'Will the Washington Post widen debate?' the evidence says "No!" . Confusion about "majority rule" in elections is also proven.

'Will the Washington Post widen debate?' was my first Nolan Chart article and as described in my column title and introductory notes, I intend to present five kinds of evidence. One kind is "Wide confusion as to the rights and duties of people and governments " and the fifth is "Media propaganda that maintains the above confusion".

This time I ask Nolan Chart readers for evidence, if they have seen any, of wider debate of majority rule since Sunday. Has the Washington Post even published my letter to the editor? If so it would be a first.

All three readers who offered opinions to support Ron Paul and Michael Kinsley against majority rule did not mention supporting evidence of the evils of modern majority rule using secret ballots. One referred to "true democracy" as horrible form of government that was tested in ancient Greece but I do not believe that involved secret ballots.

There is, in Kenya right now, a modern case of use of secret ballots leading to a horrible result. It's not clear if Kenyan elections enforce majority rule but [to my knowledge] no other state in the world does enforce majority rule on government conduct of elections! A more fundamental problem for Kenya is that its boundaries reflect its colonial past, not the tribal and language bonds that create nations and nation-states.

Let's get back to my belief that no states, anywhere in the world, enforce majority rule on government elections. Admittedly my evidence goes back only 150 years and is almost all from the English-speaking world, but I expect that Nolan Chart readers also confine their concerns to the English-speaking world [even if they compare modern government to past, even ancient regimes, before the secret ballot was developed]. So what evidence do critics of majority rule in modern times rely on? Is it only propaganda?

I maintain that the evidence so far, in comments of Nolan Chart readers, plus writing of Ron Paul and Michael Kinsley, is of both wide confusion as to the rights and duties of people and governments plus media propaganda that maintains the confusion. Without conflicting evidence, my case is already proven! Any one dispute that?

To clarify a potential misunderstanding, my evidence relates to elections, not referendums [and recalls] which present "Yes" or "No" questions with results that do enforce majority rule. So finally another question, does anyone reading this and my supporting evidence have conflicting evidence?

Centrism wins in this country, because most voters don't like principle politics, they just like to hear populist rhetoric that sounds good. Global warming, Socialism, border wall, and patriot act type ideas get passed simply because the vast majority of people want them passed. So, I don't think Ron Paul has a chance because of "democracy".

Every type of government, even communism, looks fantastic on paper.  Democracy is a wonderful idea.  Statism, even has some elements of good.  The problem is, even with Libertarianism, that when you involve humans, everything will fall to pieces.  The Roman empire fell because of economics some say.  I personally believe that The Roman Empire fell because the human element destroyed it.  The Romans used Democracy, Statism, Communism, and Dictatorship depending on the situation of the Empire.  Once one person became too power hungry, and too powerful, it fell.

Majority rule is terrible, but there is no way to avoid it.  The loud minority, will always be that, Loud and a minority.  The silent majority actually acts and puts rules into place to keep themselves just that, the Majority.
