Our Decider-in-Cheif is banging the war drums again.

In case you have been hibernating, recently Five speedboats came dangerously close to three American warships in the Strait of Hormuz. According to Republican Presidential candidates Fred Thompson and Mike Huckabee, the speed-boaters came "one step" away from "the gates of Hell," where they would meet those forty virgins. Huh? You get the virgins even if you go to Hell?? I gotta check out this Islam thing.

This is suppused to be Gulf of Tonkin 2.0. , but I'm not buying it. I am not a conspiracy guy. I think the Iranian speedboats WERE trying to do something. In the American West it was called "counting coup." It is a hostile act, but it is more a show af bravery. Persian society is an honor society where such things are important. That explains why the Iranians were there, but why were the American warships there? I guess sixteen inch guns and surface to air missiles can spread a lot of American goodness.

I can't freekin' believe I am writing an anti-war column. I am a veteran. I own guns. I'm married, so I can't even use my radicalism to get chicks. Why did the Bush administration pick NOW to bang the war dru ms?

This year, 64% of primary voters in the first two (historically red) state primaries cast their vote for a Democrat. Polls show that BOTH of the top two democrat presidential candidates would beat ANY republican candidate in the general election. Clearly something dramatic would have to happen for the GOP to head off electoral disaster. Can't you just imagine our Decider-in-Cheif sitting in the oval office thinking about that. "Hmmm. I seem to recall a few years back that that there Kosovo war was a refreshing distraction from that whole Lewinsky thing..."

Bonus question: say "Iranian Uranium" three times Fast!

Iran is trying to show the world what they can do. Which is nothing but try to get the US to start a war. Bush's war in Iraq, CIA, and diplomacy has forced the Iranians to tell the world the truth. They learned a lesson that I wish Saddam would have learned about bluffing. Saddam tried to convince the world that he had super duper weapons at his disposal. Yeah and I have a million dollars. It is like callling in a fake bomb threat, you scare people for a while, but in the end you never had anything. Saddam, thank god, didn't have anything. Immagine if he did. Can you say gassed kurd... Oh wait that did happen.

Is it possible this "statist" person is a troll/spook?

The UN inspectors said Saddam had no WMD's, and we knew it, but we barged in there anyway and eventually found out the inspectors were correct, after we destroyed their entire country and culture. I heard a right-wing radio talk show host the other night say that "we had to take out Saddam Hussein because he had committed genocide and killed over a million of his own people." Well guess what? Now our military machine has killed a million more innocent people, so far... I guess it's not called genocide when it's the good ole US of A over there "spreading freedom and democracy" eh?

Could it be that some people in this administration, and perhaps some of their friends, are profiting from these wars? Hmmmmmmmm...I wonder.
