Ron Paul, Fox News, And The Five Coarse Men Of The Apocalypse-- Huckabee, Romney, Guiliani, Thompson and McCain are not Americans in action and temperment as near as I can tell...by Scott from Oregon

I have been a sportsman and an American for my entire life. Since I am getting older by the day, I have developed a sense of what those nomenclatures actually mean.
A sportsman in America is someone who tries real hard to win or succeed, but plays the game with fairness and a respect for the game. Win or lose, he or she is gracious and honest and fair. The contest is secondary to the manner in which participation is conducted.
An American is someone who tries hard to succeed, but understands that being born into such a privileged culture means that we should be cognizant of others who aren't getting the same chance in life we are getting.
Some may argue with my assessment and that would be fine. I am just relating what I have learned from my father and his forefathers who passed along these basic codes of what might be termed our American "ethics".
I believe in fair play, and I believe, as an American, that I should stand up for those who are being trampled down unfairly. (If you don't believe in fair play and advocating for those unfairly treated, then stop reading now.)
Those two basic tenets were obliterated this past week, not on a playground basketball court or in the middle of a game of Scrabble, but by FIVE MEN WHO WANT TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!
I was both in shock and in awe!
Everybody by now knows that Fox news unfairly singled out Ron Paul and excluded him from one of its forums. That's old news and yet, very pertinent news. What nobody seems to be talking about, is the reaction of the other candidates to the obvious snubbing.
I may have missed something, but I do not recall hearing Huckabee, Romney, McCain, Giuliani or Thompson standing up for the process of electing a representative of the Republican party.
THE PROCESS? HELLO? That would be the playing field, the rules, the equality granted each participant...
Not a single one of them stood up for the process.
Not a single one of them shouted out how unfair the exclusion of Ron Paul was. Not a single one of them requested that the playing field be fair. Not a single one of them stood up for the candidate that was being unfairly mauled by the media- in fact they stood off to the side and chuckled about it.
These five men are not Americans.
Not the way I was taught.
I thought only Americans were eligible to run for President?
