After three false starts and some very frustrating glitches, we're now on our new server. by Walt Thiessen

This was one of the most painful weeks of my life, but I'm hoping it will prove to be well worth it. After five full days of phone calling, shopping, cajoling, pleading, and downright begging, we finally have our new server online. Best of all, this one is ours...all of it. We don't have to share it with anyone. (Well, to be truthful, our sister site, libertarian-tv.com is also on this server, but that site gets only minimal traffic. This site is the gorilla in the room.)
Now comes the nail-biting time when I start watching the tell-tales and the readouts to see whether the new server can handle the load. We're coming up on the weekend, and weekends are usually quite busy, so the test should come soon.
What I'm expecting to see is a nice, smooth handling of any workload that comes our way. I'm pretty sure I'll have to do some tweaking to the website code in the days and weeks ahead, but overall the basic problem should be solved. We hope.
If you notice any glitches or anything else we should be aware of, just drop us a note via our contact page. And thank you for your loyalty to the Nolan Chart. After all, you're the reason we do all this.

Great site. Hope everyone appreciates your efforts as I do. I spent two days in a labyrinth where I sometimes got this site and sometimes the old one. I guess I can find my way not.
