An Open Letter to Ron Paul So, I was thinking about this revolution and I decided to write Ron Paul a letter.by Mitch W

So, I recently wrote an article commenting on the idea that, in order for the revolution to move on, we all need to become a Ron Paul ourselves. With this in mind, I wrote a letter to Dr. Paul, thanking him for starting this and expressing my thoughts. Unfortunately, the box only allows 1500 characters.
Dr. Paul, Let me begin by saying that I don't believe that you will be the next President of the United States. Despite that thought, I will vote for you in the primary and if you remain in the race in November, I will vote for you again.
I want to take this moment to thank you for allowing me to 'waste my vote' as the republicrats claim. I thank you for giving hundreds of thousands of disenfranchised American citizens a medium through which to declare their utter discontent with the current state of things. And I want to thank you for beginning to clear the path that will one day clear the lobbyists and the politicians from Washington and replace them with free-thinking, honest Americans that truly understand the needs of this country.
Just months ago, your fellow republicans were ignoring you. They soon took to a violent criticism of your ideas. The major media outlets never mentioned your name, or your ideas and soon began using you as an example of how crazy the right was becoming.
Things are different now, though. Certain GOP candidates are now calling for us to stop printing money to finance our whims. Others are talking about personal liberties and freedoms. A prominent headline news program yesterday highlighted the enormity and danger of our growing debt.
It is a quiet rumble now, but you started something. America is changing. You have brought hope to this country and have showed the common citizen that they can change the world. And I want to thank you.

"I will vote for you in the primary and if you remain in the race in November, I will vote for you again."
Interesting. Does this mean that you might vote for Huckabee, Mitt or McCain if they are the party nominee? Or a Democratic candidate, maybe?
I am just curious because I have thought about this myself. All the other candidates make me a little ill. I have come to the conclusion that the only vote that will let me sleep easy at night would be a write-in vote for Ron Paul. Better to "waste" a vote and be comfortable in my own skin. It seems that any other candidate would lead to the waste of America.
Your thoughts? Is there a way to justify a vote for anyone else?
I'll write in Ron Paul too, or just no vote at all. It depends upon who the "conservative" GOP candidate turns out to be. If he is a real dinger, like Giuliani or Huckabee or McCain, then I may even toy with the idea of voting for Hillary/Obama as a suicidal protest vote. The GOP, even after losing 2006, still have not learned their lesson.
