Topic: Ron Paul
Independents, late decisions give Paul hope Over the past few days, Ron Paul has polled between eight and 14 percent in New Hampshire. Aside from the usual gripes about the poll numbers, there are other reasons to hold high hopes.by Mitch W

According to the final Rasmussen poll for New Hampshire, Ron Paul had 8 percent of the GOP vote. This was tied for fourth with Rudy Giuliani and trailed Mike Huckabee by just two points (in a poll with an error of -/+ 3%).
Based on those conventional numbers, it seems that Paul would be reasonable to hope for a third place finish tonight. But it gets better. According to CNN's election center, New Hampshire has 850,836 registered voters. Of the group, 30% are Republicans and just 26% are Democrats.
What does this mean?
It means that the remaining 44% of New Hampshire voters are independent. And with early claims of 500,000 primary voters, that means that there could be over 200,000 independent voters at the polls today.
As far as the Republican field goes, this could be good news for Paul, who stands out as the only candidate not spewing the current party line.
Another good sign for Paul is that early exit polls have shown that about 14% of voters decided who they would vote for just today. This comes the night after Paul reached 4-5 million people via the Tonight Show.
We can only hope that those undecided independents caught Paul last night and have opened their eyes. The momentum of this revolution may currently reside in the hands of a few hundred thousand free-thinking east-coasters who believe what every good American should: Live Free or Die.

New Hampshire was a bummer, no doubt, for us Paul supporters.
However, there is a still a positive spin to it all.
If you combine the Iowa and NH vote totals, Ron Paul has received 29,648 total votes, compared with 24,151 votes for Giuliani and 18,712 votes for Thompson.
That puts Ron Paul comfortably in 4th place, with 22% more votes than Rudy Giuliani and a whopping 58% more votes than Fred Thompson!
I wish Ron Paul good luck. May he win, please God, and may he bring the US back to the good old days, when it was the land of the free and the home of the brave, as it was during WW2.
Note the amount of coverage the story has gotten. Congratulations you've just figured out 90% of the problems in america.... totalmedia domination by anti-american interests.
