Ron Paul- Long Shot Or Not?

Yes, I support Ron Paul, so does my husband who is a Veteran. What makes him or any other Candidate running for President a long shot, and why are the best choices for the American people always given this label?

Ron Paul The Long Shot Or Not....

I read articles, watch the news, and videos to find out what others are saying about Ron Paul. Not so that I can form my opinion, but so that I will know where he stands. What gets me every time are the phrases associated with his name like, long shot, he doesn’t have a chance, and he won’t get elected. Where do they get this information? From the phone polls? They are just samples taken from people who voted last time. The real count can only come when we hear from the first time voters, people who have moved, switched parties, and have cell phones. These people, like me, haven’t gotten to have their say, yet! There is no way to even guess how that changes the sample polls. So why do we even have them? Is it to influence the American people? Why can't every Candidate be in the debates and get fair coverage until the last primary is over? Anything can happen, right? Not with the media telling us what to think and do!

We can still think for ourselves, we don’t need the media or the polls to tell us what "We the People" think.

Do you know when "Mr. Longshot" really becomes "Mr. Longshot"? When "We the People" go to the primaries and vote for "Mr. Lesseroftwoevils"! When "We the People" sit out the primaries because we want to wait to see which Candidate the other people want. When "We the People" decide that Congress won't work with our choice, or that it doesn’t matter anyway and don't vote at all! But think about it, when the American people wake up and stand together for "Mr. Longshot" then everyone will know that if they don't really start working for "We the People" they will be replaced by all the "Mr & Mrs Longshots"! I keep saying "We the People" because we are the ones who decide. We are the majority! We can either sit around and let the few run things or we can start thinking for ourselves and start demanding change. Lets start with this election. Vote for the person that you really believe is the best person for the job! We can start by doing our own research on the Candidates.

Lets look at it this way. If you owned a business and you had to hire someone, who would it be? The best person for the job, right? How would you come to make this decision? By looking at their work history, you would look into all the people who applied and then make the decision. You would not hire a less qualified person just because some of the people in the office said they didn't like the candidate who was most qualified would you? No, because if you did you would be letting someone else tell you how to run your company. Only the best qualified candidate is the best choice for making your business better. What would they care if you business went under? They can always find another job.

So why do we let this happen in the Presidential race? The best person for the job should get the job! So lets do what we would do with a business. Lets look into the Candidates for ourselves, and stop letting the media tell us what they want us to hear!

Don’t get me wrong, I am guilty of this as well. I had completely given up on America until I heard about Ron Paul and saw how many people felt the same way. Plus, they were actually getting up and doing something about it. Look at what the Ron Paul supporters have done! It is amazing. My husband and I have joined them. We are doing all that we can. We are no longer sitting on the sideline and watching America sink!

Personally, I can see that we are in a war that we don’t need to be in. The dollar is going down, and people all over the world don’t really like us. Why should they? We go to all of these places trying to run everything. I agree with Dr. Paul, if we were in their shoes then we would be fighting mad too. The way I see it is that the only way out of this mess is to bring our troops home, save some money, and get our Country back on track. That should be priority #1!

Ask yourself this, how worried will you be about how we are doing in the "war on terror" or the "war on drugs" when you and your family has no place to live and no food to eat. As the dollar goes down we get closer to that very real possibiblity.

Now as "We the People" we do have the right to our own opinions, and I know that some people don’t think that America is going down. For everyone who thinks this way, go and listen to what the experts are saying. Not just the ones that you see on the tv, look at all of them. Check out their credibility. Then make your decision.

What it comes down to is, are you willing to take the chance that America is not a sinking ship? What if America surviving without the major change that Ron Paul is talking about is the REAL "Long Shot"? With that in mind what will you do?
