Topic: Ron Paul
Is Ron Paul is Speaking to White Supremacists in Code?

Looks like the conspiracy theorists switched to Giuliani. Enjoy the hot potato mayor!

On the Tucker Carlson Show, The New Republic’s Jamie Kirchick accused Ron Paul of engaging in a massive conspiracy to propagate a racist agenda by speaking to white supremacists in code. He explained that when regular viewers and Paul supporters think they are hearing a typical stump speech or a press interview, they are actually the witless pawns of Paul and his real, intended audience. Sure, it sounds like Paul is spreading a message of freedom and liberty, but Kirchick insists that Paul has woven an encoded message of hate into his live-and-let-live platform. Kirchick did not explain how he managed to crack the code. Nor did he explain why Paul chooses to spread his message this way rather than, you know…using telephones.

Of course, that would mean that Paul has defrauded the American public to believe that he doesn’t care for white supremacy. But it also means that he spent the last thirty years reigning in all of his White Supremacist furor, while faking the most libertarian platform since Goldwater on the off chance that he may someday run for president, amass enough media attention (because that has gone swimmingly), and finally unleash his true socialist Nazi agenda. If Kirchick is right, we should all fear the dark forces of this kindly, grandfatherly Texan and the dozen-or-so Nazis remaining in America.

Kirchick’s timing would be impeccable…say if he was a Giuliani supporter. He "released" the information on the day before the New Hampshire primaries. When Reason Magazine published a commentary on it, its comment section was flooded with messages from people who are familiar with Kirchick’s work or Kirchick himself. Here are a few:

Alyssa Lopez | January 8, 2008, 1:40am | #James Kirchick is a Giuliani supporter (Giuliani did lose to Paul in Iowa and might just finish behind Paul again in NH) and belongs to the Yale Friends of Israel Group. I am not anti-Semitic nor anti-Israel (I'm actually an observant Jew, want the U.S. to stop funding and arming all foreign nations including Israel and her "enemies", and wish peace for all individuals in that region) and I've noticed that most attacks on Ron Paul come from the same group. This is a group that stands to lose billions of dollars in aid if President Paul becomes president and his ideas are enacted…

Oliver Stiffins | January 8, 2008, 12:21am | #I went to school with "Jug Ears" Jamie. He was an annoying paranoid zionist asshole bootlicker. I can tell some very disturbing stories about his uncomfortably bizarre antics when drinking. Some things never change…except he may not be drinking.

Theophanes | January 7, 2008, 8:06pm | #I went to Yale with Jamie Kirchick. To think he's had the nerve to call himself a "libertarian" before. He's one of those delightful people who automatically equates all criticism of Israel with antisemitism. I think all of this crap comes out of his cognitive dissonance from being a homosexual supporter of the oppressive, anti-gay, Republican Party.

If these comments are correct, then Kirchick is a member of a group that stands to be obsolete under a Paul Presidency. He is a Giuliani supporter who stands to loose even more when Giuliani eats another slice of humble pie in New Hampshire. But who knows? Conspiracy theorists can be right sometimes, can’t they? I’m just glad Paul traded them to Giuliani to make room for Barry Goldwater Jr.

Come on Kirchick. Smears are for children and hacks (who are children). If you still can't dig anything up on Paul, you should be voting for him.

Oh and to all my "brothers and sisters": Epare-pray or-fay e-thay omming-cay of-ay e-thay reat-gay hite-way iberation-lay! <wink, wink>

This has been completely dealt with, the staffer was fired and Ron Paul expressed his regret and that they were not his views. This is an attempt (over and over again) to just keep parrotting the same story in a hyped and incomplete format to try to convince people into believing something which is not true.

Do the people trying to smear President Paul on one single issue which has been addressed and gone away just to keep coming back in order to terrorize people fear him that much? How about sstanding up to him on the issues he brings to the table. I also abhore those people that act like President Paul is a loon for speaking about actually following and defending the Constitution. He and those in congress and the judiciary and the military etc. are sworn to do so. If you don't like the Constitution it allows itself to be modified in a proper manner to update it. Subverting it is high crimes against the state, punishable as appropriate for the crime of treason!!!

I'm an old school, populist, New Deal, yellow dog Democrat. I grew up arguing politics over coffee at the family farm table in Kentucky, with the people the article refers to. They are not so much racists in the way skin heads or the Klan are. All you youngsters need to read up and get educated. Ron Paul pulls a 100% positive rating from both the John Birch Society and Phylis Schafly at the Eagle Forum to this very day and they are both de facto racists on the far far right. He is a fringe paleocon nutjob with ideas that have been invalid since the 19th century. I am thankful the independent voters in these current primaries have shown common sense in using their energy in support of proper, viable candidates in both the Dem and GOP rather than this fascist who favors unrestricted capitalist hegemony over the market and a "devil take the hindmost" social position. A broken clock is right twice a day. For Ron Paul that means an anti-war and pro-hemp stance and very little else that is positive in your life. Thanks for reading now go look at his voting record.

Why would a gay Zionist Ghoul supporter like Kirchick want to smear someone that's not a deviant?

future_primitive, I completely disagree with you.

#1 - It is irresponsible and illogical to assign your views or judgements about a certain group to someone that group supports. All sparrows are birds, but not all birds are sparrows.

#2 - President Paul is about following the oath of office, wich is to faithfully execute his office and to protect and defend the Constitution. If there are things that need to change in the Constitution there is a legal way to do so, by Amendment. It is simple, President Paul takes his oath and responsibility seriously and does not want big business to control the federal government. I know you may, as others have said to me, say that his free market views means more privatization and less corporate taxes and regulation. I don't believe this is true. If it is, we will learn something during his 4 year term and additionally, as he would follow the Constitution, he would not seek to be a dictator and would require cooperation of Congress. For those who fear the ideas in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and fear a public servant who does not accept inflation and fractional reserve banking (do you even understand these things?) as a healthy way to do things (look at the "stabilizing effect" of the Fed. Reserve, which over saw the Great Depression and all recessions and minor deoressions since...which were never supposed to happen with the Fed. Reserve in place)...you are really misunderstanding what is going on and what we need to do to save our country.

It seems some people actually want our country to fail to some lame status so that we will welcome consolidation into and under a larger body (NAU, WTO) and completely lose our Constitution and Bill of Rights. I find this completely unacceptable.

An even better example...

If someone is a murderer and he goes and eats at McDonald's, does that make the CEO of McDonald's a murderer?

Okay, that should clear up the campaign contribution issue.

If not, then nothing makes sense anymore and the attacks are known to be ridiculous by all making them and they know they are doing it ONLY to slander/libel their target, not to present real facts or debate honestly. Much less respect the concept of FREEDOM.

Ron Paul Is a man that speaks his mind.  If he were a racist there would be video of such things being said.  He has been in the public eye for most of his life.  The New Republic is a spin machine that tries to influence the public by any means necessary.  Ron Paul has all types of supporters, some who have beliefs that are not in line with the man himself.  I have been working with his campaign at the grass roots level and have witnessed this first hand.  There is no reason to believe that things were different in 1988.  I fully believe any egregious statements (if they actually exist) were made by a misguided follower and not the man himself.  Anyone who considers him or her self a good judge of character; ask your self this. Does it fit the man?

I see. So according to Jamie Kirchick if you support the constitution, you're a hate-monger. I think we need to vote for Ron Pual more than ever now.

How come the media is ignoring McCain's racism during the SC debates? John McCain was overtly racist in the SC debate, read it here: http://www.nolanchart.com/article1084.html
