Before Ron Paul's Revolution

History will not forget this revolution. Today it is called Corporate Media Propaganda, 230 years ago it was called "The King's Propaganda". It didn't work then, and it won't work now.

Today, sincerity and truth are so rare in politics. So few people can stand against the awesome might of the political machine and come out on the other side morally intact.

I want to take you back to the early years of the American Revolution before the war began. In the early years, support for the revolution was small. Those who choose to push forward with their dream of a nation run on principles of liberty and not tyranny were for the most part ostracized by the prominent men of their times. They were labeled traitors, terrorists, and insane.

But extraordinary dreams of freedom and liberty are rarely seen by ordinary men. For most, the only time they will catch a glimpse of change will be when they view it on the sidelines in hindsight.

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."
-Mark Twain

Dr. Ron Paul is of the same mold as our founders and his movement shares the same kind of critics that slandered our founders in their attempts to create the first truly free nation. We must remember that history rarely remembers the failed attempts of evil and corrupt men to destroy the visions of men who are lead by an almost divine sense of understanding that far exceeds their time and place.

"I refuse to accept the cynical notion that nation after nation must spiral down a militaristic stairway into the hell of thermonuclear destruction. I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right temporarily defeated is stronger than evil triumphant." - Martin Luther King Jr.

Our country has been battered and bruised, our collective consciousness snuffed out by mass corporate media, government greed, and those who reject any notion that this nation must remain run by a free and informed people.

We must not be discouraged by the events shaping our world today. Even if the odds are stacked against us, even if the media slanders Dr. Ron Paul every single day, his truth will eventually get out and spread like wildfire. How do I know this with such certainty though? The answer is simple and powerful. I looked back at history, everyone from George Washington and the revolution, to Mohandas Gandhi's resistance to tyranny in India, to Martin Luther King Jr and his civil rights crusade. The same people were on the wrong side of history every single time and are now nothing more than footnotes in history.

It is hard for the vast majority to accept such rapid change back to the ideals and systems which once made this country so great. We have been on a gradual decline for longer than most people have been alive so it is understandable why this movement is still in its infancy. Given time however, as people become more aware of it and begin to realize that what is taking place isn’t even a new concept, but something that was once considered a normal part of America, they will begin to turn around and fight for change.

We must not lose hope. We must remember, each one of us is a catalyst for liberty. This fight will not end with Dr. Ron Paul. These ideas will live on, as they have with all other great men in the past, each one giving us another piece of the map on the road to peace on earth.

"I hope our wisdom will grow with our power, and teach us, that the less we use our power the greater it will be." -Thomas Jefferson
