Those reading this column know there is not a large level of support to be found among the articles for the current leadership of the Republican Party. Frustration over the party's years of big spending and abandonment of the core Grand Old Party principles has left the GOP in shambles. One other key to the demise of their leverage in federal politics is the constant lies of the opposing Democratic Party. These lies are coming in such daily rapid-fire too many people are buying into the propaganda.
Led by President Obama the barrage Democrats mimic his words when he stated, in Florida this week, "Nothing is not an option. You didn't send me to Washington to do nothing." Quite contrary to his and his party's lies Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) said Tuesday, "I don't know of a single Republican in the House or Senate who thinks Congress should do nothing in the wake of this recession. We want to do something that will work." What message did YOU hear, that Republicans want to do something or they are stone walling because they are just saying no to Democrats?
You no doubt heard similar thoughts to that put out by Democratic strategist and CNN Contributor Paul Begala. Listen to his rhetoric. After praising Obama's message Mr. Begala gave us these words to accept, "The Republicans, on the other hand, have honed their economic message: Denial, Delay, Do Nothing" Among the examples of delay tactics he chose to present was from the words of Senator Mike Johanns (R-NE) when he counseled everyone. "Let's slow down. Let's take our time. Few things are going to be as important as this." What a terrible delay tactic, actually wanting to slow down long enough to review the proposals and embrace the meanings of the words and programs being presented before voting on them and passing them into law. Shame on you Senator Johanns!
How about the message from House Minority Leader John Boehner to his colleagues? "Monday night, the president said, Some people believe we should do nothing." He was talking about you. I don't think anyone in this room has said, Do nothing.'" Really, what have you done if not simply say no and demand we do nothing? "We are for solutions that work, not wasteful spending that won't," Boehner said. "Our plan creates twice as many jobs at half the cost. We need to continue to communicate that every day back in our districts. Don't let anyone distort our position." Your plan, you have a plan? Believe it or not the Republicans actually had an alternative plan that was never given the light of day by the Democrats basking in their majority power rule, yes...rule!
Representative Nancy Pelosi said "Congress is boldly and swiftly delivering on the president's promise of new jobs, new hope, and a new direction for the American people." This sounds so good to the ears of those of us hurting across the land yet her gitty, arrogant stance should nauseate more than inspire. Another way to reach out for Republican support also comes to us from her tact and diplomacy. Remember her friendly words when she stated, "We won the election; we wrote the bill." They wrote the bill and refused to look at the alternative bill Republicans attempted to present in those so-called open meetings Democrats claim Republicans refused to attend.
Would you attend a Saturday night poker game where the host invited you to come and play by their rules? Where a straight flush may lose to two pairs? Yes, the Democrats invited the Republicans but they did not invite them to work together but rather to dictate to them exactly what they demanded. Like Senator Harry Reid's $8 billion dollar train project between Anaheim, CA and Las Vegas, NV. The train is built in Japan and benefits the major voting bloc Reid relies on for holding on to his aristocratic title of Senate Majority Leader. This is to be ignored however for it stimulates us all and cannot be characterized as pork, just like so many other projects cannot be pork.
Obama has been on the theme since Monday when he stated, "But what I, what I've been concerned about is some of the language that's been used suggesting that this is full of pork and this is wasteful government spending, so on and so forth...But when they start characterizing this as pork without acknowledging that there are no earmarks in this package, something, again, that was pretty rare over the last eight years , then you get a feeling that maybe we're playing politics instead of actually trying to solve problems for the American people." Playing politics Mr. President? No way that can be taking place, no way politics can be behind your many trips this week and next to campaign for stimulus instead of the Republican answer of doing nothing.
There is no pork, this is a good bill, the opponents only answer is to do absolutely nothing, and after you won who should write the bill? Thank goodness there will be no lobbyist in government, no toleration for breaking laws while securing important positions, and no pork while saving this country. Just as FDR saved us by ramming through the 1933 Emergency Banking Act, without allowing anyone to read the bill before the vote, the Democrats are saving us today. That 1933 bill did us the saving honor of removing us from the nasty gold standard and replacing it with our sound fiat currency we have today. What ripple will today's bill stimulate our future generations?
One thing for sure; President Obama, Senator Reid, Representative Pelosi and their partners will have no problem promoting their agenda at the expense of the truth. Change, hope, and transparency we can be deceived in. The truth is Republicans had a complete alternative plan they wanted to use for a basis of compromise. The Republicans understand there are things that can be done. The idea that you either support this bill or you support doing nothing and are just saying no is a blatant lie. Blatant lies appear to be the marketing tact Democrats embrace daily. Sadly, it is proving quite effective.
This effectiveness will no doubt help market the next legs of their plans. If we call a dog's tail a leg how many legs does a dog have?

The only thing missing was Obama pounding his little fist on the podium and saying "they just keep saying NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!"
I often wonder how ANYONE can miss the EXACT deja vu between Obama and Bill Clinton, since they say so many of the same things-- and I don't mean "similar," I mean EXACT, VERBATIM, WORD-FOR-WORD STATEMENTS used by BOTH of them, but 16 years apart.
For example, Bill would talk about "hope" and "change" constantly JUST LIKE OBAMA; and about socialized health-care, saying how our current system is inefficient because "people don't get preventative health-care, and so it ends up costing more.
BILL CLINTON SHOULD SUE FOR PLAGIARISM ON THAT ONE!Bill said that we had "the worse economy in the past 50 years."
Obama said we had "the worst economy since the Great Depression."If you compare their speeches and claims, you have to realize that it's a DIRECT RIP-OFF>
I REALLY think that media-people cannot POSSIBLY be so forgetful- even if the sheeple are; rather, I think they just don't want to mention it, because it will ruin their abillity to call it "news;" i.e. if they show film-clips of Obama saying the EXACT SAME THING as Bill, then they'll lose their audience.
And most media-pundits are pimps for ratings, NOT truth; it's a fact, for example, that they all stick together on opposite sides of the media, while they fan the flames of rivalry among the "little people;" they know it's a racket, and then they'll say "we're just entertainers."
