Are you fed up with political correctness? Tired of the way our language is being redefined?
is this true only of the left?
Don't underestimate the power of example. By employing these ten easy steps, one person can make a difference:1. Support capitalism - (no-one else is). Say often and loudly:Support capitalism all the time? Let's see if you really mean it. Pork is still pork and the military of the U.S. is stationed in over 700 bases in over 130 nations throughout the world. This is diversion of very necessary productive capital that truly drives the "motor" of the world away from producing wealth for people and instead using it to destroy, then rebuild (through more pork laden contracts).Profit is not a dirty word.Crony capitalism is bad. Free market capitalism is good. Now you're talking. I agree 100% on the above two points.2. Banish the word 'stimulus' from your vocabulary. The correct word is government spending.Would you now say that you oppose government spending on all counts? Just how much would you care to cut back gov't spending? Would you support a 100% voluntary system of interaction between all people rather than any coercive measures to fund what people actually want and ask for?Example:Let's say you don't have kids. Would you in turn reject the idea of having to pay property tax on principle, even if you would pay it in practice to keep from having your home snatched away from you for non-payment? Do you oppose the threat of force by gov't for non-compliance with property tax payment? If you personally cede by your own free will to government, any power to extort money from you to pay for such a scheme, then you are in favor of at least some degree of socialism (that you accuse liberals of). It is simply just that.3. Stop tolerating lies and liars. A lie is a lie, not a misstatement. Lies are bad and liars are not trustworthy. Even if they're media darlings. So to be consistient in your own words I would submit the following question to you: Would you remove the banner of "Fox News" from your website (yeah, it's there) if you found them to lie or support liars? If not, how many lies would you be okay with them telling before you broke your ties with them permanantly?4. Do not rely on the government for ANYTHING. Remember what Reagan said: "Government is the problem, not the solution." Spread the word.5. Never, ever again lower your voice when you mention race, blacks, Negroes or whatever the PC word for African-Americans is.Why mention race at all? Why not treat everyone equally despite their race, creed, or gender?5a: Stop using hyphens when referring to Americans.6. Cancel your subscriptions to all liberal media and stop watching NBC, CBS, ABC, etc. They have lost all credibility and don't deserve your support. You didn't have Fox News listed there. Can you name some times they stated something you knew to be lacking in credibility? Anything ever? As for NBC, CBS, ABC & all, I agree. If their anchors told me was raining outside, I'd know them to be liars until I came back inside with my hair wet.6a. Start getting your news from trustworthy sources. I recommend the news site I edit,
RightBias.com , because its trustworthy and we want to make a profit.
Would you eliminate any of your sources from there if they were found to be lying to you or the public in one of their articles?7. Start being judgmental. Its called 'having an opinion'.Good show. You continue with that and you'll be a voluntaryist (or I like to say "Anarcho-Capitalist") in no time. That is if you are really telling the truth yourself and reject government as you stated so in your article.8. Quit stifling your opinion when surrounded by lock-step liberals.
Your opinion is just as valid as anyone's, despite what the elites may think. The PC idiots can only censor you if you let them. You never agreed to or voted for the current politically correct rules and you are not obliged to follow them."Elites" are not just confined to the political left. If you are honest you will also note that (and not be shy to this website about it) plenty of "conservative" people that feel themselves better than the rest of us.9. Ignore the 'experts'. Remember, just because everyone says something is so, doesn't make it so. By not challenging 'expert opinion', you enable it. Keep in mind that most of our current 'experts' are educated way beyond their intelligence.Experts on the right also say that I need to give up many of my remaining liberties for the illusion of security. Do you indeed practice what you preach?9a. Employ the 'experts' test: Just ask yourself, who benefits?Gov't contractors (Blackwater, Halliburton, etc) maybe? It's still socialism & it still stinks if you remember that bit I mentioned about real capital being diverted from the productive private sector & administered instead by gov't.Chances are good its not you. If that doesn't work, just follow the money.10. Most importantly, say 5 times a day:
Stifling dissent by labeling the dissenter a racist, homophobe, meanspirited, etc. is one of the left's most effective tactics. If anyone tries to discredit you by using these labels, immediately recognize that they're group-think, useful idiots whose opinions are formed by others. Act accordingly. 'Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me'.If you follow these ten steps, others will follow. Before you know it, you'll soon be able to say God Bless America without fear of censure or embarrassment."God Bless" what part of america? it's private sector which relies on competition and freedom to achieve it's aims of a better life for all or instead the government realm which has each and every action for non-compliance backed up by the threat of force when anyone dares to refuse to cooperate?Which one do you truly embrace? Are you a capitalist or a socialist? You'll be able, once again, to take pride in merit, success, true achievement, God and country instead of being forced to worship at the alter of political correctness, diversity, multiculturalism and equality of outcome.
Who knows, you might even cause a liberal to think twice. That would be real change.I just planted a seed in your mind, Nancy. It is a seed of the unique and mighty ideals of capitalism you claim to love. Will you nurture it and be proud of it's growth? Will you share it with your friends because deep down you know it to be a better way? Or will you trample it with your foot because it upsets your left-right paradigm? In Liberty,Dan Steward

Politically correctness is an assault on reason, a reinforcement of illusion and a good way to sound like you don't have a clue about reality.
As far as I'm concerned if someone is a right-rascist bastard I want to know that for sure. How can I possibly discriminate against such ignorance if it is glossed over by a projection of fake tolerance.
Frankly, I don't trust anyone who speaks politically-correct-grish.

The author claims to abhor "political correctness" and then lists 10 ways she believes we should be politically correct.

Dan pretty much hit the nail on the head but I do have on thing to add. Since conservatives tell liberals to stop calling racist when some pundit makes a stupid remark, at the same time conservatives would have to stop calling Communist whenever someone slams religion.

One can take almost any statement and make it sound foolish if using absolute terminology. I don't think the author meant to be absolute.
Most of us know what "politically correct" speech is, and how it is used, mostly by the left. It's their baby. It has been used successfully for several decades now, mostly by black groups, women's groups, and now immigrant groups, it's used because it's successful in stifling serious debate.
Will "right-wing" politicians use it if given an opportunity? Sure, they're politicians.
Essentially, we're an nation of victims in our own minds. A legacy from 60's victimhood.

Dan,
Appreciate you taking the time to post your views. Regards the several questions:
I am in favor of limiting government to what is authorized in the constitution.
You ask, 'why mention race at all?' Good question. My point is, one is not allowed to comment on race (unless one is black) without being censured, unless your comment conforms with liberal thinking that blacks are oppressed and victims of whites. Just try it sometimes.
You're right about hubris. Its most definately not confined to liberals.
Regards profit - you cite Halliburton. They are the only company set up to provide the services they provided. Little known, is that fact that they most decidedly did NOT make a profit. Just check their stock price and quarterly reports for the periods in question. And if they had made a profit, is your premise that they shouldn't have?
America is becoming Balkanized, granted, but when I say God Bless America, I mean just that.

So, Nancy Morgan, why are you listed as a libertarian if you are really a conservative? And if you are not a conservative, why are you giving them advice on how to defeat liberals? That's like a Saudi Arabian giving Americans advice on how to defeat Iran. Clearly, your yellow star shows that you are close to the conservatives, and that makes me suspect you really are one.

On the race one, I agree with Dan, race does not even need to be mentioned. But if you truly want to characterize people for the color of their skin, say Black or White, not African-American and Caucasian, because it is not about their origin, it is about their skin tone.

Something to ponder - When the liberal Gene Gafaolo said about the tea party participants- (I'm paraphasing here) she called them "racist, tea bagging rednecks". What about Perez Hilton, calling Miss California a "stupid B*tch". Why, because she gave an honest opinion. He (Hilton) did ask her personal opinion. He didn't like her answer, and since she didn't tow the line - she's being massacre for being honest. Could she have responded differently? Absolutely! But, she took gauntlet and responded in her honest opinion. Why not blast Obama, when he personally doesn’t agree with same sex marriage. Therefore, are we to suppress our freedom and not stand for what we believe in? What if you're ask if you would see yourself hooked up with a black person or asian - anything besides your race. Does that constitute you a racist if you said no?
This isn't a conservative, libertarian, liberal or statist view. It's called "respecting" others opinion and not lambasting these views in a deragatory way. I may disagree with your point of view, but that doesn't necessary mean that I have to respond in a deragatory way. But, because the Tea Party participants and Miss California are expressing their views – this does not sit well with illiberals. As for where you get your news media - it's up to the viewer to discern who is reliable and who isn’t. When I see a news media making or allowing them to mock someone expressing their views and if the viewer (us) is unwilling to use their common sense to see the rubbish that is being perpetuated – well then they are no better than the media.
