Sarah Palin Has Plenty of "Experience"

This is not a veiled reference to sexual promiscuity. Just an unveiled look at what "experience" means.

A lot has been made about Sarah Palin's attractiveness, her family's size, and her daughter's promiscuity.  That made me start thinking about babies, okay, that's not where the thought started, but it did end up there.

Babies made me think of starting a daycare center. But I don't have experience with kids. I was stuck. But then I figured it out:

You know who has lots of experience with kids and has a really hard time getting jobs?

People on the sex offender registry. Granted, they have a record that points to their inability to be trusted in this particular arena, but they have a lot of experience with children.

It doesn't take long to see how ridiculous this sounds does it? Yet, people continue to talk about how scary the thought of  a Palin Presidency would be.

This is ridiculous. Of McCain, Obama, Biden, and Palin, Sarah is by far the most qualified to be President precisely because she has the least experience.

When whoever takes office next January and swears to "preserve, protect, and defend" the Constitution of the United States, maybe he'll have a sudden epiphany that the best way to help Americans is by exhibiting integrity in keeping his oath and by so doing have a right to ask each citizen to do the same.

Maybe if you hired a child molester to run your daycare, and had him promise to not touch children inappropriately, he'd have an epiphany and realize what a remarkable example he could be to pedophiles everywhere.

But you know what?  I bet you wouldn't take your kids to that daycare if you knew that person worked there.  So why would you trust your nation  to people who nearly certainly can't be counted on to do what they will swear in to do? The record is there for anyone to see.  Heaven forbid you check it.  It's just your country--you know the one your kids will grow up in.

At least Sarah Palin doesn't have "experience" getting away with destroying the Constitution at a national level.  She may be no better than the other three in the end, but we just don't know.  And that's great.

You're welcome to vote for whomever you'd like, but don't not vote for McCain because of Palin. Counterintuitively, she's the best major party candidate in the race because you don't know what she'll do if she takes office.  You know what these other guys will do.

If I were to start that daycare center, I'd hire someone who had no experience watching kids.  I don't think I'd hire a child offender.   It's a shame she comes attached to one, metaphorically speaking that is.  But if I had a gun to my head, I suppose  I'd rather hire one than two.  I'm glad I don't have a gun to my head.

I'll leave you with this challenge--go read the Constitution, look up the words you don't understand, see what the President is actually supposed to do.  Once you understand how little it actually is a President is supposed to do, you'll wonder how in the hell we ever came to believe "experience" was so important to begin with to hold an office in a government that was never designed to be run by "career politicians."

Actually, what really matters is whether the candidate will actually work to reduce the size of government and has experience toward that end, a la Ron Paul. Granted, if the candidate has no practical experience, total commitment to reducing the size of government combined with a strong understanding of the issues and how to solve them is much more important than experience, but I don't think that voting for someone just because she is inexperienced is a good idea. It's better not to vote at all than to vote for someone who could harm you.

Then you should vote for either Chuck Baldwin or Charles Jay. They have no governmental experience whatever, so they must be even better candidates.

Your article makes as much sense a Palin's answer to the bail out.

Palin: That’s why I say, I like ever American I’m speaking with were ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the tax payers looking to bailout.

But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Helping the — Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. Shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americas. A

And trade we’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive scary thing. But 1 in 5 jobs being created in the trade sector today. We’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. ALl those things under the umbrella of job creation.

This bailout is a part of that.

An Obama supperter once told me similar arguments when people questioned the Obama's experience.  One strong argument which is applicable to any running candidate was that since the President's position has term limits, NOBODY IS QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT.  When any candidate runs for the office of the POTUS, he or she has never been PRESIDENT before.  Therefore nobody has the real experience.  Even if an incumbent is running, his first run for office was with no experience either.

Well here's what the experienced ones have done:

Got us mired down in a costly and unnecessary war in Iraq.

Ran up a $10 trillion dollar national debt.

Raided the social security trust fund so that the fund now contains $2 trillion worth of IOUs instead of dollars.

Ran up $45 trillion in unfunded future liabilities.

So If Palin doesn't have experience at that, its a good thing.

Also 4 of the last 5 presidents were governors before they became president, just like Palin.

Now just for the record I'm not voting for McCain/Palin or Obama/Biden.

Executive experience (like Governor) for an executive position like President may be as close as you can get.  Senator experience means nothing.  Senate experience is merely voting yay or nay.  Nevertheless, none are qualified, but experience has nothing to do with it because at the end, the President cannot and should not solve all of our problems.  WE are the ones supposed to solve our own problems.
