How to Bribe a Politician - Part 2

And if they take your dough...

When I wrote my previous article about making a public servant into your servant, I didn't think about any type of follow-up letters to your elected official. I'd like to fix that now.

If they indeed take the money, be polite, but never let up that you gave them money, even if it was a single $1 federal reserve note (worth only about five cents from 1913 when money was backed in gold). You gave them something they consider of value and if you get their attention, (and you should) then you should keep their attention on restoring freedom to the district they claim to represent.

If they vote against Liberty, then write to them again, let them know they have let you down:

Dear Sir/Madam,

You have disappointed those who hold to the ideals of Liberty as spelled out quite plainly by the Founding Fathers of this great nation. I'm sure that you'll notice that I have not sent you any more money with this message. As I had mentioned to you in a previous letter, I pay your salary with my taxes and I sent you money as well. Do you remember that I also stated to you that because of this you had been paid twice by me? And just exactly what kind of law in the meantime did you strive towards in your sworn duties?

If you want more money, I'll be happy to send some to you but just because you are a public servant, you are not entitled to any more that what you've already received, just for showing up for work and helping make bad law.

If you truly believe in your oath that you swore to the United States Constitution and work in the future to show it clearly for all in your district, not only will I send you more money, I will consider you someone that is deserving of telling everyone to send money to you.

If you can do that (not for me, but for your fellow countrymen) I will even tell people everywhere that you are also a very good person worth voting for. Of course that's the deal and if you really give it some thought, you should be letting people know by example that you will cease to interfere with their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor.

It will also make you truly heroic among all political types, because you will be not just true to your oath to uphold the highest law of the land, but you will indeed work to help make your fellow human beings free. That my good friend, is a satisfaction that you will never grow weary of. You will feel that incredible feeling forever. I wish that I could create a way of sharing with you that feeling that I feel from doing what I have always considered right, kind, and intelligent.

I hope that your day is filled with fun, enlightenment, freedom, and peace.

With Liberty,

Dan Steward
