On the morning of Wednesday, July 23rd columnist Bob Novak, was ticketed by police in Washington D.C. For running over a pedestrian in his black Corvette.

When asked about the incident Novak initially replied "he's not dead, that's the main thing". His victim may thankfully be alive but since his condition was reported as more serious than originally thought, 66-year-old Don Likinquist, is said to have been fitted for casts on his back and neck, according to an unnamed source.

Novak is recently remembered by what some would call "treasonous" behavior, when he was the first journalist to publicly "out" CIA operative Valerie Plame. The syndicated columnist wiggled his way out of any possible bad publicity from the mess by fingering White House employee, "Scooter" Libby.

Former CIA Agent Valerie Plame, commented about the situation and mentioned that, "Once again Novak has demonstrated his callous disregard for the rights of others, as well as his chronic inability to accept responsibility for his actions".

She also noted, "We have long argued that responsible adults should take Novak's typewriter away. The time has arrived for them to also take away the keys to his Corvette".

It was also reported that at the time of the accident, Novak claimed that he wasn't aware of Likinquist when he struck him as the man was stated to have been "splayed across" his windshield. The driver was soon "boxed in" by a cyclist so Novak couldn't escape the scene.

Bob Novak also appears to have "demonstrated" a possible source for his feelings of entitlement...it seems old Bob has adopted some of the nastier traits of his comrades in Government with an utter contempt for his fellow human beings.

This is not the columnist's first brush with people in a rude and offensive way in his travels through The Capitol. The Washington Post wrote in 2001 that Novak swore at a pedestrian for jaywalking.

Let's face it dear readers, Robert Novak thinks he's better than the rest of us. If you have a better explanation for his behavior, and feel him to "just be misunderstood". I'd sure love to hear it. Obeying laws that state you must stop when you are involved in an accident, compassion for those suffering, public courtesy and simple manners in the community are for the "little people" in his narrow view of the world.

Take heart though. I'm sure his spinmasters soon plan to parade about literally dozens of his cronies that will, on cue, gush most excitedly as to just what a compassionate, caring guy he is.

They've got their work cut out for them.

Clearly, leaving the scene of an accident is callous and wrong, but let's be brutally honest here.

Richard Armitage outed Valerie Plame to Robert Novak, while Novak simply reported what Armitage said.

I, for one, have never believed that Armitage "didn't mean to do it," that it was an accident. An accident? You've gotta be kidding me. Armitage, a man holding one of this country's highest security clearances, trusted with some of the biggest national secrets, simply forgot to keep his mouth shut when talking to a member of the press? Bull.

Armitage only claimed it was an accident because it's a violation of Federal law to willfully out a CIA agent, and Armitage took full advantage of that law to avoid prosecution. Worse, the investigators bought his little song and dance.

What Novak did with his Corvette was much more of an accident than what Armitage did to Plame. Plame was outed by Armitage because her husband had embarrassed Armitages' boss, Mr. Bush. That was no accident.

How about his undiagnosed brain tumor? Or does that not fit your narrative?
