When news broke out months ago that Scott McClellan was writing a book about his experiences in the White House and how he mislead the country by giving out false and manipulated information by the Bush Administration, it didn't take long for members of the administration and most of the major media outlets to start attacking him rather than pursue the real problems. Seems nothing has changed and the attacks have resumed now the book is out.
The real problem(s) is how Rove, Cheney and Connie committed treason against the United States of America by revealing a undercover CIA agents identity to the world and those she was covertly investigating and then obstructed justice by lying about it to investigators to ward off prosecution and to save face.
If that wasn't enough, there was also accusations that George Bush and his top advisors used twisted intelligence and propaganda on the People of the United States to convince them that it was the patriotic to preemptively invade a non-threatening country to gain control over it's oil. Just so he,big-oil, Cheney/Haliburton and his crony banking executives dealing in oil futures good make a few extra billion.
It leaves little for the imagination to what really happened to the firings of the attorneys that the administration so readily denied any wrong doing in.
When investigators tried to question those implicated by McClellan before his book was released, President Bush refused to allow them to answer most of the questions they were asked, inadvertently implicating himself in a cover-up, if it was found out at a later date that they weren't being honest.
He is expected to do that again.
Many even resorted to the ever so popular back-up plan that seems to be the most commonly used term by US government officials today when they get cornered and are about to get caught or might have to blow-the-whistle on their cronies, "I Don't Recall." Which is one step short of contempt and not quiet as socially incriminating as pleading the Fifth Amendment.
The charges that McClellan is accusing George Bush and his administration of are very serious felonies and should not be taken lightly.
There is not and should not be any reason not to vigorously investigate these allegations and if crimes were committed, charges should be filed to bring those responsible to justice just as it would be for any citizen who breaks the law.
Democrats, specifically House speaker Nancy Pelosi, are required by law to pursue justice in these cases.
All excuses are Obstruction of Justice.
If they refuse to co-operate with the legal system by aiding high ranking government criminals in their crimes for personal or party reasons and not prosecuting them, they too should be indicted and or forcibly removed from office.
It has been said that pressing for impeachment at this time would be a waste as GW Bush would pardon his cronies at the end of his term, however this country cannot allow people with this low of a moral standard to continue to be in charge of the world's only remaining "Super-Power."
Others are saying that the country needs to let the incoming President know that deceitful and illegal activities by our government officials will not be tolerated.
I Agree.

My question is why he started coming out about this now. What are his true intentions? Course, there are always chances that he could have no ulterior motive, but the rate of that occurence is astronomically low in today's world.
To paraphrase Roosevelt, nothing in politics is accidental. If it happens at all, you can be sure it's planned that way.

I have been surprised at the attacks on Scott McClellan and how personal they are. Rather than say what he says is an outright lie I hear "The guy's mother is a nut and so is his father, what do you expect?". Also, "Wow, Scott has changed. I don't understand why he would say these things".
I was flipping channels on the radio and I thought Michael Medved was going to have a brain hemmorage, live on radio, he was so disturbed about McClellan's mother running as an independent for governor in Texas (I think he said 5th party) and since she would do that, she is obviously mentally unbalanced and so what would you expect from her son? No kidding. He ranted at least five minutes on that part alone.
Is the book true? I can't say. Are the claims exaggerated? Who knows but the involved parties. I do know this. It is shoot the messenger and shoot the messenger's parents right now. Everybody has already discussed a lot of what Scott McClellan wrote in his book long ago. Why is everyone so shocked?
