John McCain loves to mock other people - especially those who oppose the war in Iraq. Barack Obama recently said that he would take action "if al-Qaeda is forming a base in Iraq." McCain tried to jump on Obama's statement by quipping:
"When you examine that statement, it's pretty remarkable. I have some news. Al-Qaida is in Iraq."
Naturally, McCentury supporters laughed it up. But then came Obama's response:
"I do know that al-Qaida is in Iraq. So I have some news for John McCain. There was no al-Qaida presence in Iraq until President Bush invaded the country."
Obama wasn't through. McCain loves to tell crowds that he would follow Osama bin Laden to the "gates of hell" to catch him. So Obama continued,
"All McCain has done is to follow George Bush into a misguided war in Iraq."
While I don't support Barack Obama in the least, it is refreshing to hear John McCain get blasted for his warmongering.
Of course, Ron Paul has been saying the same things all along. Unfortunately, Paul isn't a media-darling and isn't given a smitten of attention.

Honestly, I would not mind in the least that Obama is cribbing from Dr. Paul's prescription pad, so long as he honestly intends to follow though.

Obama has been closely studying Ron Paul debates and arguments. He knows that Ron Paul would crush McCain in a one to one debate and he intends to use as much of RPs arguments against McCain. He's a democrat so he won't be able to come accross as Dr Paul.

Considering that Ron Paul's platform rests on returning this country to constitutional principles, I think it would be helpful if Ron Paul's supporters would seek out and KINDLY try to recruit members of groups who have historically been victims of governmental acts which grossly violated the constitution. The word is KINDLY. Walls go up when people are called stupid, etc. Who...? Well, for one thing, Mitt Romney's Mormon supporters are largely the descendents of people who were driven from their homes in state after state and finally from Missouri as the result of an EXTERMINATION ORDER from the governor. "Leave or we will kill you..." And many were killed. Ron Paul is a natural fit for Mormons because they tend to hold the constitution in very high regard, considering it to be an inspired document. However, since Ron Paul has been so marginalized, his message has likely not reached many of their ears. What's more, Mormons have been alienated by Huckabee. Many can't stand McCain.

It was still a stupid comment by Obama in the first place. Paul would not have said he would send troops to Iraq if there were terrorists there, excactly because there ARE terrorists there. You can't say that and say you want to leave.

I like how Ron Paul refers to the terrorists as a weak group of lunatics without a country to call home. In the chaos of Iraq, however, it appears that they're right at home.
Ron Paul supports using letters of Marquis and Reprisal to deal with terrorists. That makes the most sense.

Just think what it would be like if we had Obama and Ron Paul in the White House, there would be no stopping them, Ron could help Obama where he falls short. Together they would and could do great things, you have not heard either put down each other, they respect each other and both hope for a better America.
