Since I read Rhona Byrne's The Secret this Fall and Winter, I have been exploring the Law of Attraction. I've been a libertarian for nearly 30 years, and during that time I've often wondered why libertarians like myself are so often lacking our heart's desires. We see so much pain and abuse in the world, and we are appalled by where it will all likely end. In our hearts we know where it leads, but few non-libertarians are willing to hear our messages of warning. The Law of Attraction is teaching me that I've been attracting all of this. We all have. It's a daunting concept.
Further, the Ron Paul Revolution has been attracting all of us to each other. There is now a community of people who share values of individual rights, fair play, honesty, decency, and justice. We are just now beginning to attract abundance, yet even in that attraction we also continue to attract misery and want.
I'm learning to pay closer attention to what I feel about what I've been attracting into my life all these years, because feelings are the primary gauge for determining how well I am achieving personal success and growth in my life, according to the Law of Attraction and its accompanying theory. Feelings are our guides toward achieving well-being, wealth, great health, a happy life, and so on. Toward that end, the rest of this article is aimed at identifying what I want to attract into my life, in terms of how it would make me feel to attract it. If this seems like nonsense to you, go on to another article. This article is for me, not you. It is a statement of my latest, public affirmations.
But if you are on the same wavelength as I am, I invite you to share my statement of affirmations. I put it out there so I can learn about how it comes back to me. I'm writing about my ideal world as if it already exists, because that is also a part of the Law of Attraction. So, to commence...
What I Love About My New World
I love living in a world of hard money, where it is difficult for people steal value from each other. In such a world, people who are still trying to understand how life works, people who perhaps have never heard of the Law of Attraction, can nevertheless safely explore their own choices in life (and their ramifications) without constantly being robbed of the material values they create along the way. They are no longer required to walk on an endless treadmill that leads nowhere. A hard money economy makes that possible.
Hard money creates a stability that is unknown in our past world, a stability that can lead to good results rather than trapping the poorest among us in bad results, results which are endlessly repeating and reinforcing themselves in negative ways. This new world has ended that treadmill.
I love living in a world where you can be reasonably sure that the people who surround you are honest, decent, and caring, where murder, theft, rape, and pillage are almost unknown. Thus, I can feel free to create, just as my neighbors can feel free to create. This freedom is born and grown out of the experience of that same freedom. Freedom begets freedom. Light begets light. Abundance begets abundance.
I love living in a world where you can be sure that when you are in alignment with what is, all that is good flows to you in abundance. I love not having to constantly look over my shoulder to see if some busibody in government or some related bureaucracy is working yet again to limit my freedom or to take away the bounty of my production from me. Once I produce something, I feel free to consume it or save it, and I'm not expected to give up half of it to the government. Instead, I can experience it, share it with a friend, put it aside for later, or use it in any other way I choose.
I love living in a world where I actually have more than enough, so that I can feel philanthropic by being philanthropic.
I love living in a world where others share many values in common with me. Creating with others can be as fun as creating solely for myself, and it's up to me to decide when I shall do the one, and when I shall do the other.
I love living in a world where I am not expected to live the way someone else wants me to live. Instead, I can live the way I expect to live. I love the fact that I am not automatically beholden to someone else merely because I have the audacity to breathe oxygen in and exhale carbon dioxide out. I love the fact that we all, in this wonderful world, are happy to live without the need to exert such childish control over others. It's so much more restful, and peaceful, and energizing than the world in which I was raised.
I love living in a world where the greatest people are those who share the most abundant ideas, rather than the world I grew up in where greatness was measured in violence and dominance and fear and micromanagement of others.
I love living in a world where the people in my life are balanced, happy, engaging, and fun to be around. I love having friends who don't depend on their neighbors (via their government) for their own happiness to be fulfilled. Instead, they depend upon themselves, on their own connection to the Eternal Source, and on their own abilities to be the fuel of their own happiness.
I love living in a world of joy, of love, of mutual respect, and of kindness. I love this world where people don't constantly try to fix me or make me into their own image of what they think I should be.
And most of all, I love being me. I love my wife and the life we are building together. I love the spiritual journey that we are on together. Even when I was going through my worst times, she was a shining beacon that helped light my path and find my own way out of the darkness. I love the me that I have evolved into and still am evolving into in my relationship with her.
For all these things, for all this, my ideal world, I am grateful, and through my gratitude I attract this world even more.
Think I've been engaging in fantasyland? I suppose that I have, but what's wrong with that? Nothing, from my point of view. If you dismiss it as fantasyland, that's your cross to bear, not mine.
But if you're among those who are on the same vibration level as I'm on as I write this, I welcome you to my world, and I hope I am welcome in yours.

I am not familiar with Rhona Byrne, however, you will find similar lesson on the law of attraction in the teachings of Abraham Hicks.

You are 100% correct. We need to focus on what we love, not what we hate. With that love we will change the world.

Let's spread the message by organizing a PAULAPALOOZA! Picture Woodstock times 10. With many speakers and music. It should not be hard to find talent which supports Ron Paul and Freedom.
Walt could be one of the many speakers. With writing like this, he is probably a natural.
I belive that such an event would attract freedom lovers from all over the planet. It could last a weekend or a week and we could have many activities and camp fire chats which would help bring us all together.

Fantasyland!! The Law of Attraction as connected with the Ron Paul Revolution is a grand insight as well as connection. Fantasy is a form of dreaming. Dreams lead to ideas which lead to goals, leading to plans and action. Once plans and actions are introduced the goals begin to be met and then it allows for us to dream even larger. Your article attracts many good things...thanks for sharing it!

censoredagain: It's interesting that you should mention Abraham-Hicks. I'm reading Ask And It Is Given right now. What's really cool is that I didn't even have to buy it. I attracted it into my life by asking for more information about the Law of Attraction. My wife came home from a weekly meeting she attends with some local girlfriends, where they talk about spiritual issues. One of the women had brought in some books she was getting rid of, and my wife picked up a few of them to bring home, including a copy of Ask And It Is Given. The Law of Attraction really works!
To the rest of you: thank you so much for your positive words. It makes me feel good to know that my words and actions are positively affecting you!

The Lao of Attraction is like the law of Bicycle Riding. Not only most you be aware of where you want to go, but you must keep a fine balance. This "fine balance" can not be explained in words, but it is necessary to attain or you could fall (attract misery and want), instead of the nice ride ( positive goal you are aiming for).

NOW WHAT ??????
But just another answer for the ....Freethinkers and Atheists
Freethinkers and Atheists
Freethinker does not mean atheism. Militant atheists hijacked this term when it really meant those liberal theists and Deists that apply reason to religious matters. My view is we need both God and traditional values in combination with humanism and reason. Classical humanism in no manner is anti-God. So-called "secular" and religious humanism are both just atheism today. Atheists are no more evil than Christians, most Christians are not like Pat Robertson.
