♣ SUPER TUESDAY
The timing of the "primary election blitz" known as "Super Tuesday" may be slightly premature, and could perhaps have been a little bit better.
On the one hand, the country is in a recession, the dollar is tanking, the Iraq war drags on, our future is uncertain. It hurts to get on an airplane, it hurts to pay taxes, it is increasingly painful to fill our gas tanks, and it hurts to watch American servicemen die in Iraq. There are plenty of people in pain already, laid off from their jobs and hard-pressed to find another, with the strong prospect of more and worse economic trouble looming on the horizon.![]()
On the other hand, perhaps not enough actual voters have yet begun to truly feel the squeeze. The pain is still somewhat at "arms length" and hasn't hit home yet. The more savvy economically may even be profiting off of the stock market plunge through clever investing. The powers that be pretend to take action with "stimulus packages" and interest rate cuts - fraudulent measures that will just temporarily postpone the inevitable crumbling of the American empire.
Maybe if the primaries were happening just a little bit later - maybe if more people were already actually out on the street - maybe if they cared a little more about their children and grandchildren who will soon be out on the street - then maybe, just maybe, voters would wake up, look around, and listen to what Ron Paul has to say about root causes.
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who offers anything remotely approaching a well-reasoned solution to our burgeoning economic disaster. He is the only candidate who truly understands economics and inflation and who is prepared to say precisely why the measures proposed by other candidates are doomed to fail.
Are you afraid of what is about to happen in our country? Are you in enough pain yet to do something about it? "Stimulus" packages are no more than band-aids on top of patches. Tax rebates? Yeah, they'll give you back a tiny fraction of your own money, money that you have already earned by the sweat of your brow. More likely, they'll just give it to someone else who didn't earn it at all.
Will it be too late when voters finally do wake up? Will they discover to their horror that they've put another tax-and-spend self-interested lying politician into office, one that will ride America's demise straight down the broad road to hell?
We are doomed unless we heed Ron Paul's advice. Pain is a warning signal. You should act on your pain now. I urge you to respond to your pain before it is too late, and vote for Ron Paul! We'll all be glad you did!

Will Ron Paul be in pain if he doesn't win? Is there anybody that is going to leave the country if he doesn't win? Anybody contemplating causing themselves to assume room temperature if he loses? Anyone going to cry because Ron Paul is not winning? Has anybody thought about what they are going to do when he doesn't win?

"Has anybody thought about what they are going to do when he doesn't win?" I would hope so. Some of us are already getting out of our FRN's and into Swiss gold, Pipeline stocks, rocks and dirt, and anything that might hold value against the upcoming inflationary increase and dollar decline. Your statist President just sent over a $3-trillion budget. Don't see how that will help. Don't let anyone tell you that the CPI is inflation. I buy millions of $ of product each year and with every order I place the price has gone up. It is only going to get worse with Hillary with inflation hurting the poorest of us.

As long as super duper Tuersday doesn't commit a majority of the GOP delegates, the economic events are looking just great for Ron Paul. The dollar is tanking and so is the stock market - the PPT is working overtime. They're vainly trying to plug the holes in a sinking ship (have you ever tried to plug the hole from the inside?) If we go to a brokered convention, by that time the economic situation will be such that all the blather will be obvious, even to the zombies, so we'll be able to take the convention. Alternately, by this time all the 3rd parties (except the communist Greens) should have Ron Paul on their ballot. This last thing should happen whether the GOP convention is brokered or not.
We can win this thing!!!

Statist,
I hope you have a depression plan, because that is what is about to happen.
From reading your comments it appears to me that you are not a foresight person but a rather a hindsight person.
It might sharpen your focus to experience a depression, and in hindsight to examine its causes, but what you are now being told in foresight comes free of charge so that you don't have to learn the hard way.
The obvious is sometimes so obvious, that some will not see it, but rather must fully experience it to learn something.
I hope no one is around when your illusions are shattered.

Hey statist, I know you think you're right in your stance because you think you've picked a winner. You're pulling for someone that's a current front runner and a media darling, so you really didn't even pick your candidate, you let everybody else pick your candidate for you because you want to be able to do what you're currently doing which is runnning around the internet posting taunts at people who are voting their conscience. I've seen a few of your post where you parrot what the media has said and attacking supporters of Ron Paul's so you don't have to think about why you're voting for your candidate.
You read this article just to find a way to attack Paul supporters, rather than think about the truth behind the collapse of the dollar and how the Bank of Denmark predicts that the real "hurt" of the recession will hit around October of this year. Ron Paul is the only candidate whose budget proposal cuts spending, and he does so by $150 billion dollars according to the National Taxpayers Union. No one else left in the race cuts spending, Obama is on the opposite end with a $280 billion spending increase, go see by how much more your candidate spends us into debt. In other words, look at the substance and stop being a mindless prick.

Ron Paul is a messenger. His message has been delivered. He has already won! He has shown that we can and do have choices. He has also shown the Media and MIC for what it is. Thank you Ron Paul.

So did Ralph Nader and Ross Perot.

It has appently never occured to Staist and his ilk that those of us who can add and subtract deeply hope we are dead wrong about the writing on the wall. He simply enjoys baiting sincere people because he thinks all this is only a game and his taunts are clever. That said, even though he wearies me to numbness, I hope to God his la-di-da attitude is justified and our concerns are unwarrented. Unfortunately, it wlll take more than the insults of a wise guy to convince me of that.

A very interesting subject! Thanks for bringing it up.
If we look at the situation in 1929 through the end of the great depression, I believe we can see that the bankers and government gained more control, not less. Thus we might extrapolate to te next great depression, that the bankers and government will gain additional control, not less. The bankers were in 1933 actually able to rob everyone of their personal wealth of gold and much later silver. The sheeple, while in bad shape remained in a battered state and were unable to understand the basis for the conditions they suffered. Hence they did nothing to put and end to the oppression they suffered. Is today different? Great topic!
